Incredible Day with Youssef - Youssef was an amazing guide who started by showing us around the Medina. We stopped at an incredible shop (the Herbalist with Hamsa) where we learnt the power of Argon oil. Next we were guided through the maze of souks where Youssef helped us negotiate a fair price for any of the items we wanted to buy.
Overall he was incredibly knowledgeable, up for answering any questions and very helpful. This is a great way to start to build your understanding of all the layers that make Marrakech. Thank you Youssef!

A marvellous introduction to the souks - This was a great way to begin our time in Morocco. Youssef was an amazing tour guide. He speaks excellent English and, besides showing us all the delights of the souks, he gave us loads of interesting historical and background information about Marrakech. He responded to all our questions and showed us many traditional crafts people at work. We visited a community bakery and a furnace for a local hammam. His good-natured bartering skills were much appreciated! We loved his company and by the end of the packed tour we felt we were saying goodbye to a friend.

Fantastic tour, highly recommended - What a fantastic tour! Would highly recommend. Our guide Youssef was so generous and informative. Not only did he give us a wonderful tour, pointing out things we would never have seen on our own, but when it came to bartering (at which we are totally useless), he got us some really good prices as well. We loved it. Do this tour as soon as you can on your trip, so you can get to know your way around.

A precious afternoon! - We met Mustapha at the Koutoubia Flies, he guided us around the Berber market, entertaining us and providing a wealth of valuable information about Moroccan culture, the mosque and life in Marrakesh. We had a great time, made the afternoon a pleasant time of discovery and was really professional and kind.
Highly recommended, our best moment in Marrakesh. Thank you!

Unlike any other tour guide! - Youssef is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable of Moroccan history and told us all about Marrakesh. He customized our tour and even took us to places other tours might have passed, like the community oven where one man fulfills bread orders for the entire area. We also saw the process of how a hammam is kept hot. He is friendly, funny, and says hello to everyone around town. We would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone who wants a tour of Marrakesh!

A place to discover - This is the fourth time I have visited the city and each time find us a new corner.
To visit the souk you must not depend on the weather.
You must want to get lost in all the streets and discover impressive places and people.
In the souk you will also find local crafts as typical food products. I advise you to eat in the streets, the flavors you find are not like those of the hotel or Riyadh where you stay.
Haggling is a sport, but do it only when you are determined to buy. They take it as an offense if you haggle and don't buy.
If at any time you find yourself lost or think you are lost, just ask anyone where the square is and even if it seems like you are far away it is always close.
To walk around the souk always walk on the right side of the street, that way you leave a corridor for bicycles, cars, donkeys to pass. It is a city that coexists with the tourist and the tourist has to adapt to its rules.

Free Moustapha Guide - I often go to Morocco, this December I brought a colleague and we found a free guide, Mr. Moustapha who gave us tips on where to buy local products and not fall into scams with counterfeit products. He took us to the argan oil consortium, gave us a guided tour all in Italian, is a very kind, competent person and speaks good Italian.
Thanks Moustapha, alla prochen fois inchallah

Marrakech - You need good shoes! It’s a good idea to have some local currency as not everyone takes dollars or euros
Negotiate any price, or you will be taken for a ride.
People are lovely, I felt secure, note that women are kept very much apart and in the background.

The true Marrakech - Youssef was brilliant with his walking tour. Very informative and he took us to the heart of the Souks. Places we would have been apprehensive to venture on our own.

The souks - What a ride! A very interesting walk - plain of colors and much more! Our guide - really nice and patient (shopping with women is no problem for Monsieur Hassan;)).
