The Ouzoud Waterfalls are the most popular attraction in Azilal, frequented by both tourists and natives. It holds the title as Morocco’s most splendid natural wonder, annually drawing numerous spectators who delight in its invigorating waters and extraordinary scenery. The term ‘Ouzoud’ translates to ‘olives’, an appropriate designation given the abundance of olive trees scattered along the river bank. The mesmerizing Ouzoud Falls reach heights of upto 110 metres, its tallest waterfall gracefully divides into two smaller falls, generating countless falls and pools that pour into the gorge. In close proximity to the falls, you can find several traditional mills still functioning, converting wheat into flour using the river’s force.
