Moroccan Activities Company - Day 2: Tinghir - Toudra Gorges - Merzouga
The second day starts with a traditional Moroccan breakfast at the hotel, followed by departure to the Saharan village of Merzouga, passing through the Toudra Gorges. Along the way, numerous Berber villages and vibrant landscapes are discovered. The Todra Gorges rise 300 meters above the river, so caution is advised when looking down! Lunch is enjoyed en route, and the journey continues to the city of Erfoud, famous for its marine fossils dating back hundreds of millions of years. As evening approaches, a 1.5-hour camel ride in Merzouga offers a stunning view of the sunset over the sandy dunes. The day concludes with a delightful dinner at a campsite under the starry sky of Merzouga’s dunes, accompanied by ambient music.
