Medina of Marrakesh - After breakfast, we depart from the lively royal city of Marrakech and head south. Traveling on the N9, we cross the High Atlas at the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, arriving at Ait Benhaddou at the southern foothills. Passing through the provincial capital Ouarzazate, we continue along the mountain range to the palm oases of Skoura, Rose Valley, and Boumalne-Dades for an overnight stay with breakfast.

Tizi n Tichka - -ATLAS CROSSING: TIZI-N-TICHKA
We begin by driving through fertile plains and pine forests, winding our way up the Atlas Mountains, accompanied by gnarled juniper trees. We cross the High Atlas at the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, which stands at an altitude of 2,260 meters. Snow is often present here in winter and spring.

Telouet Kasbah - We then take a smaller road to Telouèt through the rugged, barren mountains.
Kasbah du Pacha el Glaoui - - Visit Pacha el Glouiskasbah.

- In the valley, the Ounila River is flanked by a green band of vegetable gardens and oasis fields, contrasting with the red-brown rocks of the canyon. Several stops offer wonderful views of the picturesque valley.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - TOUR KSAR AIT BENHADDOU
We reach Ait Benhaddou around midday and stop for dinner before exploring the clay village. Learn about Kasbahs and Ksur and be impressed by the rammed earth architecture. I will guide you for an hour through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ksar Ait Benhaddou. Discover the labyrinth of houses, kasbahs, towers, and granaries, and enjoy the picturesque views over the village and the mountain landscape.

Skoura - ROAD OF THE 1,000 KASBAH
In the southern High Atlas, we follow the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. A picturesque landscape unfolds: on one side, the red-brown rocks of the Atlas Mountains rise up, while in front of them, the arid stone desert spreads out. The green band of date palms stands out in contrast.

El Kelaa M’gouna - VALLEY OF THE ROSES
Near Kalaa M’Gouna lies the picturesque Valley of Roses, which are in full bloom in April/May. I will explain how the rose cultures are grown and harvested. The farmers then process the flowers into the popular, sensually scented rose oil and rose water. During a coffee break in Kalaa M’Gouna, you can test and buy the products typical of the region.

Boumalne Dades - - End of the day, go to accommodation IN
The traditional clay building Kasbah-Hotel lies on a hill on the edge of the Dades Valley. Spend relaxing hours in the blooming garden or on the roof terrace. From there, you have a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view over the palm oasis dotted with ksurs and kasbahs and the mountains behind them.

Boumalne Dades - After breakfast, visit the Dades Gorge.
The Road of 1,000 Kasbahs takes you to the Dadès Valley near Boumalne, accompanied by the High Atlas in the north and the Djebel Saghro in the south. After a short drive on the N10, the Todra Gorge near Tinerhir awaits you.
A beautiful oasis town. Entrance to the Todhra Gorge. Continue via Erfoud, the rust-red oasis town with 300,000 date palms, into the desert and the sand dunes of Merzouga. Change to the dromedaries and ride for 30 minutes to the tent camp. (Of course, if you wish, you can also take your luggage to the camp in a jeep.) We have comfort tents for 2 people with electricity and a sink. Food around the campfire and sometimes a little music under the 360-degree starry sky. If guests prefer to stay in an auberge, that is also possible. However, we recommend the camp, which is a highlight even for those who are not experienced in camping.

Dades Gorges - A green band of orchards, grain fields, and vegetable patches winds over 30 km into the High Atlas near Boumalne. On a hike that lasts about an hour and a half, you will experience the tranquility and endurance with which the Berbers have cultivated this beautiful piece of land for centuries. On the edge of the river oasis, you will experience the impressive rock formation “Monkey Fingers” as well as original kasbahs with wide views of the valley. Continue further
Boumalne Dades - Drive over the High Atlas to Boumalne, an oasis at an altitude of 1,342 m. After your hike, stop for refreshments at a restaurant in the Dadès Valley. From the terrace, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the green belt below you. It stands out in contrast to the red-brown, sometimes bizarrely shaped rocks. Tinghir - EXPLORE TODRA GORGE
Back in the vehicle, we follow the Todra River. About 15 kilometers after Tinerhir, we reach the narrowest and most spectacular passage of the Todra Gorge. Here, the river has cut deep into the rocks of the High Atlas. We walk into the narrow area and cross the river on a concrete ford. On both sides of the gorge, which is only a few meters wide, the red-brown rocks rise almost vertically up to 300 meters. Continue to Arfoud
Erfoud - Continue via Erfoud, the rust-red oasis town with 300,000 date palms. Continue to Merzouga
Merzouga - Arrival in the desert on the edge of the sand dunes of Merzouga.

Zagora - - Continue through Zagora along the Draa valley to ourzazate. Over a million date palms grow in the Middle Draa, as well as fruit trees, almond and olive trees. The journey goes through old villages and stone desert past herds of camels.

Ouarzazate - - After breakfast, pick up, drive on a smaller road via Demnat, Ouzoud further to Marrakech, through the very authentic Morocco. In the valley, the river Rssat is accompanied by a green band of vegetable gardens and oasis fields, which contrast with the red-brown rocks of the canyon. At several stops, you can enjoy wonderful views of the picturesque Morocco.
Demnate - - On the way to Demnat, we repeatedly pass through small villages, some of which are very original.
The provincial capital, which has a population of around 40,000, is nestled on the edge of the 4200 high in Hoch-Atlas. Demnat is the center of Berber nomadic agricultural production, but has also always been an important trading and market place. Nomads once rested and traded here on their way through the Atlas.
