6-hour Trek from Marrakech\n\nToubkal Guide - Day 1: Commence with a pickup at 8:00 am from your lodging in Marrakech. Following a roughly 1.5-hour drive to the quaint hamlet of Imlil, your hike begins. Traversing the Mizane Valley, you’ll first encounter the village of Aremd before reaching the holy site of Sidi Chamarouch. Your journey then heads eastward, crossing expansive floodplains and ascending along donkey paths into the towering crags above the valley. After fording the river, you arrive at the revered Sidi Chamarouch sanctuary, a destination for both sightseers and pilgrims. The path then steadily ascends, weaving and zigzagging to the snowline and the refuge at 3206 meters. Your encampment for the night will be in a tent near the refuge.\n\nExpect to walk for approximately 5 to 6 hours.\n\n### 10-hour Trek and Return to Marrakech\n\nToubkal - Day 2: With an early start, you’ll embark on the ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the tallest peak in Northern Africa. The climb follows the south cirque, skirting the stream above the refuge. While the trek is mostly uncomplicated, the loose stones and high altitude may pose challenges at times. Nonetheless, the panoramic views en route are more than compensating. Upon summiting, you’ll be greeted with awe-inspiring panoramic views, ranging from the Marrakesh Plain to the High Atlas in the north, and as far as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara to the south. The descent retraces your steps down the mountain, leading back to Imlil. You’ll then be transferred back to Marrakech and dropped off at your original pickup point.\n\nAnticipate a walking duration of about 9 to 10 hours.
