Very authentic - This experience was very eye opening. We got to experience a traditional Hammam and were amongst locals. You are able to wear your underwear if you feel uncomfortable. Fatima was very helpful during the process and we felt brand new after. I would definitely recommend to anyone after an authentic Hammam as the price is also reasonable. We didn’t manage to book a massage as it was fully booked but we would have loved to try it.

Relaxing Hammam you definitely need to try! - Great experience! Being someone who’s never had something like this done, I was pleasantly surprised! They guide you through everything so if you’re not sure what to do, just ask! Felt very relaxed afterwards and had the best mint tea of my trip here!

Traditional and authentic - My girlfriend sourced this Hamman, having identified it on "authentic and traditional." it was certainly both of those. It dates back several centuries and is used by locals. They segregate the sexes. It is definitely not a spa but reminiscent of local authority swimming pools/public baths in London in the 1960s; just older! 121 contact is the norm but same sex. Enjoyed the heat, the soap and the massage. There are reviews complaining about bing naked. I wasn't and there was no expectation. I gather it's different in the ladies so if you don't want close contact and possibly an expectation that you will get your kit off, this isn’t for you. No faux Asian music, pan pipes, drinks service, coffee, tea, or fluffy towels. It is what the locals do and how they do it. Enjoy!

Unique hammam experience - It was exactly as I imagined. It’s a basic service, but it made me think this is how it was hundreds of years ago. We paid for the scrub and massage. It was a no frills experiment but it felt amazing. We didn’t need to take any supplies; they provide it all (slippers, mat, bucket, black scrub, glove, towel). A unique experience for anyone looking to experience a hammam the way locals do.

Authentic experience but keep modesty and hygiene out the door - You really have to leave aside modesty and hygiene to live this experience in an authentic way; you definitely have to ask yourself a few questions also because communicating with women who scrub/wash their hair in English is impossible: gesture language is the master, but somehow you can figure out what to do. Slippers, mats and towels are definitely not for personal use (take this into account). The Hammam comes 170dh (cash only)

Traditional Hammam - This is a traditional hammam in the middle of the souks. It has a very traditional approach and you certainly come out glowing! If you are looking for a lush, 'insta-worthy' spa type place, this is not it.

Not great but not terrible. - Excellent exfoliating scrub down. Staff were not particularly welcoming. Cleanliness of towels was dubious.

Unexpected... curious - All in all positive experience, but not for everyone. To enjoy these hours at the hammam you have to forget about hygiene and modesty for a while. But it is definitely worth it: very characteristic experience where you meet local people who, moreover, leaves a beautiful skin.

Horrified, not a good experience. - In the ladies massage area. Be careful from this place especially if you’re not comfortable being naked in front of everyone and you don’t want your full upper body massaged. I booked for a massage and I was told to remove my clothes in the public area and was given a towel, I refused and asked for a private room luckily the masseuse took me to the room. I got ready. Had a wonderful massage I told her that I do not want my chest massaged and she was fine about it and I asked for it to be covered at all times, Saba was respectful and listened to my request. However when the massage was finished I was taken to the locker area to get my clothes (this is public all the ladies seat in this area as it’s a reception and sitting area. After I was given my clothes back, I was told you can get changed right here. Once again I asked for the private room Saba took me to the room. As I was about to get changed one of the lady workers got extremely annoyed and came running and pushed my door open wide and was saying something in their language thankfully I had my towel around me and Saba quickly came after the lady and shut the door and took the lady away. My advice is do not go in their alone safety in numbers is key. I was very Shock from their behaviour as it is female only massage spa.

Back to the Middle Ages! - Clearly, there are no pictures matching where I was taken, except the lockers. It was very rustic and we would lie on a kind of sponge square to drain the dishes, on the floor! In addition, we explain nothing and the staff speaking only Arabic, we communicate by signs!! I advise against it.
