Beautiful excursion! - A very nice excursion between Marrakech and the desert near Zagora! We made several stops on the road to admire beautiful Berber landscapes and villages, as well as cooperatives! A very rewarding excursion that I recommend without hesitation! A huge thank you to our driver and guide Abdelhak Hadek for the transmission of his knowledge, and for the attention he has paid us. She is a very beautiful person of heart and mind. We will return to Morocco!

Great tour! Our driver... - Great tour! Our driver Kamal was great and really knowledgeable. We were only in Marrakech for 4 days, the tour was a perfect balance as we were able to spend to days exploring the old town and 2 days in the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara dessert.

No fine no gain - A wonderful experience! Our driver Adil was patient, friendly and funny. WiFi hotspot always available and he made us feel comfortable all the time! At the beginning of the trip, for my fault, Adil took a fine: I wasn't wearing the seatbelt. 2 points took from his driving license. I felt so bad but he was so nice with me: he said "no worries" with a smile on his face. Sorry again Adil! Fantastic landscapes and very kind dromedaries. 100% recommend! But remember to hold your seatbelt tight!!

Fantastic trip - impressive experience - Adil is the best guide - Weeks before we travelled to Marrakech, I texted with Ibrahim via Facebook and booked the Private Guided 2 days Zagora tour. Ibrahim is a friendly and funny guy and it was real fun texting with you, thanks! :) Obviously there was a missunderstanding and Ibrahim called me the evening before the tour, telling me that it's not a private tour but with 3 other guys. He apologized and gave us a discount so that we can go to the desert as planned during our holidays - it turned out to be good as the three other spanish fellows were cool people. So, the next day early in the morning Adil picked us up at our Riad and we started the journey. Adil first of all is a great guy and we couldn’t imagine to have a better guide with us. He's very kind, polite and helpful, always ready for a laugh and answered all questions we asked about his country, the culture and the people – we’re glad we got to know you! Moreover, he is a fast but always absolutely safe driver and we felt very comfortable the whole trip. The morrocan landscape is fascinating, the route through the Atlas Mountains is impressive and the sights we visited are worth it! In the late afternoon we stopped the car close to the camp, climbed on the dromedaries and walked a big round around the Zagora dune to the camp, where Adil and the camp berbers were already awaiting us with a tea. We could have reached the camp also by car, but the camel ride was nice. The camp is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. After the tasty dinner Adil surpassed himself and served a self-made birthday cake for my girlfriend which Ibrahim and me agreed on in our Facebook chat. Ibrahim, thanks a lot, that you organized it in advance and that Click Excursion in person of Adil realized the special surprise! Adil, well done, you are the best, chapeau and thank you very much! To stay in the desert overnight, see the starry sky and wake up in the absolute silence was an amazing experience. On our way back we stopped at the nice Atlas Filmstudios and returned to Marrakech in the afternoon. All in all, the tour was fascinating, very informative, well-organized, big fun, …and besides the little faux pas at the beginning we were fully satisified and happy doing this tour with Click Excursions. Last but not least, again: Adil, Ibrahim, thank you!!

Would love to visit Marokko again, But never with this company again. - About one year ago we went on the trip to Zagora. Our driver was Charki Abdellah. If you book a private tour my expectation is to be taken care of, supported and have a comfortable drive, If you want to see something else and even pay for it, then that should be an option. None of that was present at this trip. And yes it was terrible. It is understandable that we had to be in time at the entrance of the pass into the atlas mountains, however our driver drove way to fast. I dont have a problem with fast, but his driving style was soon sickening. Yes the car was absolutly fine, shining, clean and comfortable, nothing wrong with that. The drive constantly felt like a race towards zagora. The Atlas mountains were covered with snow which gives a great contrast from the desert tot the snow: amazing to see palm trees covered in white! The driver was very ambivalent in his communication. We had to hurry the whole time, however at his designated lunch spots we suddenly had all the time. Personally i am a great food lover, and love to taste the special stuff. However the lunch spots where we had to go (they were appointed and had to go there according to him) were filthy, touristic. We got coke with dirty straws (can you imagine having to drink fro recycled straws?). The food was basic, boring. The waiter was dressed in stain filled clothes and overall hygene was far from present. Now don't get me wrong: if food is included in the price: sure that's where i will eat, However, if i am paying: I decide! The driver said: If you want to stop somewhere to take a nice picture, please tell me. however, when asked he would drive on and after a stop way behind the spot where i would have liked to take the picture. We also had a discussion about additional things we would like to see. But according to the driver there was no time for that. Now On google maps it clearly indicated that route times were similar. But alas it was not an option to see a waterfall I would have liked to see. We stopped at the Ben Ait Haddou. Nice to see and interesting how the small city is built. But we had seen it sooner than planned and once again we had to eat at a place we didn't like. This gave us time to see some other things or stop at some other places, however then there was suddenly 'not time". The dade field were only visible from a distance and we were not allowed to take a closer look anywhere. We had a look near the filstudio and Ourzazate Kasbah where we had to stop for lunch (where we had the reused straws and the oil drenched food). But mind you: it is stated that they will take you there, however one will have to pay seperatly to get in the film studio or Ouzazate. I would have rather seen the centre of Ourzazate rather then the fake looking unoriginal Kasbah in Ourzazate. Then there's the camp at night. We arrived late at night and the driver could not find the camp entrance. We drove up and down the main road a couple of times. By that time we were tired and didn't want to ride the camel (it was night so there wasnt anything to see anyways). Besided the camel ride would have taken us over the dirt road to the camp site. We expected a nicer camp. some nice original berber camp or nomad tents. Again: not realy the case. Ofcourse sanitary was far from clean (i would have rather gone behind one of the dunes). The tents were cheap make shift huts which would fit well in a south african squatter camp. Even wind would go happily trough the blankets and we were extremely cold all night (yes even trough sleeping bag with clothes on). The bed felt more like a hard carpet. Not compfy at all after a long day of only driving. Rise was early in the morning. had a nice walk and saw the sunrise: beautiful! But please skip this trip and take time to go into the real sahara! this was a piece of desert inside a mountain range so you don't feel the 'endlesness' of a real desert (for example sahara or nullabor in australia). We had a short camel ride around the camp. Took some funny pictures (real touristic). one can not speak of a real trip). We were soon ready to hit the road again and start the day fresh. Unfortunatly we had to wait for nearly 1,5 - 2 hours before he finished talking to the people of the camp and finished his breakfast. No clue what the hold up was really about. Precious time which we could have used elsewhere or to see other various things. On the way back again there the driver seemed to be more preparing for a Paris-Dakar race. Now i understand that there are only a couple of roads leading towards the desert but a bit of variation would have been nice. On the way back the driver stated that we had to cross the mountain in time, otherwise the atlas mountains would be closed off because of bad weather. (well why didn't he start driving a lot earlier then?). Yes i am fully aware that in Marokko they have a different style of driving, but this was just rediculous. Even after the Atlas mountain the pace was extremely high. And yes on multiple occasions we asked him to slow down a bit. Overtaking was done in the wrong way: sticking close to the bumper of the person in front giving us a constant feeling of danger. (where as you should take distance speed up and then overtake). Another aspect of fast driving and sticking close to the person in front is one is more focussed on the car then compared to the surrounding. It was only after asking him again after the Atlas Mountains, if he was afraid Marrakech would close the gates at night, that he actually slowed down. I will go to Marokko again, I will go into the Sahara and would love to see more of the people and beautiful surrounding there. But never, ever, in my life with this driver. I sincerely hope he finds what his real skill is, and be happy with that. Because being a driver, speaking proper english, providing adequate information, taking care of his guests sure aint one of them. Mind you: on the road we stopped at several places and hence encountered private tours from the same company of another driver and other companies. They seemed perfectly happy.
