Brilliant experience, full program 👏 - Great experience with full program. You've got to see an argan place where you enjoy tea with some traditional spices followed by camel ride, dinner with desert and show. Definitely recommend it. Something to remember. Rabiaka which was our tour guide was very attentive. She had made sure we all had our food and enjoyed it, even checked twice if we want more cake as we all loved it. Thank you, Rabiaka! You are brilliant 👏

Organised, beautiful, fun, wonderful, heartfelt, family-like - This was beyond expectation - I booked it on tripadvisor when I was still in London. I have compared reviews of this and many other trips. When I was actually there in Marrakech, it was very easy pick up from near our Riad, the guide was friendly but mostly organised, relaxed but responsible. The drive took 40mins to the dessert on a mini bus (10 people ish per driver and guide), we first stopped by the Berber tent where we were offered bread and tea, introduced to some oils then another 10mins drive to the camels and dinner site. There were one or two merchants selling dessert essentials but not super touristy. All staffs there working as a family together and are chilled and helping each other to take care of the guests. They look after the camels and told us they were taken good care of like their assets. Seating area was styled as a cluster of perfectly rustic glamping set up. Toilets are super clean with nice toilet paper and hand wash(small touch matters!). We had starter, soup, tagine and dessert with a big bottle of water to share between two. I was able to wonder off and explore during the dinner, social with people or not at all if I just want to chill with my own group. I chose to practice my arabic with the staff and musicians, and was offered to drum with them and sit with the DJ when the night's fall after dinner in sunset. Hamza put traditional Berber clothes over his Moschino tshirt and doubled up as part of the band. Super nice vibes to see everyone at all age dancing the singing together when dusk falls. After the bonfire is lit, everyone cannot help dancing to the Moroccan music, where the night was ended by an unexpectedly amazing fire show. I booked for 4pm setting and it finished around 10pm. It was super romantic on our way back when the dessert was dark and we were in a trail of mini vans. Felt like a dream when I waved goodbye to my guide and hope it all the best for all of the dessert people. Thanks for the treat!

Shout out Abdo! - Abdo was our guide, he was very hospitable and always looked out for us, ensured we had chairs, had our food etc. There was a stop at a place that makes Argan oil, where they showed us the process and let us have a go and spinning the instrument that produces the oil. Also free bread and tea handed out here! Eventually we got to the desert. Just be wary that there's lots of Camel poo on the ground where the camels are, and its virtually impossivle to not step on it, so I wouldn't recommend wearing any unsuitable footwear such as flip flops. When you're away from the camels, the ground is fine. Dinner was great, I had chicken tagine, and the fact everything (dinner, water, toilets) came inclusive with the price was refreshing! The best part of the night was when everyone crowded around the campfires and the musicians made music. Eventually everyone started dancing around the campfire for an amazing, memorable night. Abdo, the legend, waited for us while we had to queue for the toilet and ensured we weren't lost in the sea of people, as I would say there were maybe ~ 200/300 people at the desert camp.

A great night in the desert! - We had a great experience in the Agafay desert with Abdo as our guide! The van ride is comfortable and conveniently picks you up at your hotel. The evening in the desert is lovely, with good food, music, and dancing. Definitely worth it if you’re spending some time in Marrakech!

dinner camel ride Agafay - We couldn't wait to discover this activity. Here we are heading towards Agafay, after picking up all the tourists along the way. It’s a race against time that awaits us: Tea break on the road, halfway, not planned in the program in a cooperative. What we liked: * Salima, our guide * tea break * the desert * the magnificent valley and the sunset * camel ride * dinner * the fire-eater show What we didn't like: * the tea break, too short to enjoy this break (at the same time, it was not planned) * obligatory visit to the cooperative store (purchases not obligatory but it is difficult to resist when you know that it is a women's cooperative) * the tourist industry arrived in Agafay, a lot of people (we really had to stay together so as not to get lost) * camel ride of just 15 minutes with a photo break then return to the starting point * dinner: the tagine which included 3 unfortunate potatoes, 2 pieces of carrots which covered a piece of chicken to share, a very dry meal. * couscous ditto * fire dancing (we were expecting traditional dances) but fires were lit and it was more of an open-air nightclub. * returning to the mini bus, in the dark, among hundreds of tourists, we almost got lost For €25 per person, this is more than enough, despite what we didn't appreciate, the sunset and the Agafay desert remain really impressive All this does not take anything away from Salima, our guide, who was extremely kind, gentle and very smiling.

The good, the bad and the ugly! - This is a tough review to write. Some parts were great others need some work. The van was new and clean so the ride was comfortable. Individually the components of the evening were great but it was not coordinated very well at the higher level. It is a small group for the travel portion but we joined many other small groups. Things were rushed! As soon as we got there we were directed to the camel ride. A short ride, but that was good as all of us did not have experience so whatever time they alloted was good for 99% of us. The experience was fun and worth it. After that we were directed to our evening meal, not under the stars. Each course came directly one after the other. Serving large groups feels rushed! Following dinner, abou 8:30 pm we went to see the after dinner show. That part of the evening was totally unorganized and time consuming. So much wastes time. The right hand didn't know what the left was doing....or so it seemed. The evening ended with a short fire show. That was spectacular. It was estimated it was a 4 hr evening but from the pick up time to the drop off time it was a 7 hr evening. Khalid our on the ground coordinator and travel person did a fine job and communicated with us through WhatsApp. That worked well. He was polite and pleasant and nice to be around .

At your peril - Need to feed back re this tour. NOT IMPRESSED. Tour guide/driver spoke only very limited broken English. Stopped at argan oil factory on route, suspected we would and surprisingly this was actually a highlight. Got to dessert eventually and plonked onto 2 camels without much due care and attention from camel owner, resulting in my colleague falling from camel and breaking the skin on the back of his leg. Once back off ride and after approximately an hour of being sat in the sun, asran ( believe that was his name) came with water and bread and food to follow. Soup, ok, cous cous , passable then the tegine, looked great until once veg was moved to get at the chicken, when a well cooked dead fly was discovered. Gross. Eventually got to show Asran ( who to be fair was great) offered another but by this point I had to question the sanitary and hygienic way the food was prepped and declined. He was honestly sorry and obviously embarrassed. After food we waited an age for the sunset and fire show. This was preceded by various disco tracks and to be fair by 20.50 we were bored of waiting, no refreshments to be had, or if there were we were not informed, found the driver and asked to go back to hotel. All in all a very very disappointing trip.
