Memorable excursion into the heart of Louisiana bayou - During the 90-minute Jean Lafitte Swamp and Bayou Tour in New Orleans, our guide impressed us with his friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of the bayou and its canals. He navigated the waterways with remarkable skill, showcasing the picturesque scenery and ensuring we encountered various wildlife, including baby alligators nestled in their habitats, as well as larger reptiles like turtles and alligators - the largest one we encountered was around 6 feet long. The tour provided a great blend of information and entertainment, offering a refreshing breeze and stunning views throughout the journey. Overall, our experience was enriched by the guide's expertise and the beautiful surroundings, making it a memorable excursion into the heart of the Louisiana bayou.

Need improvements - Overall it was a great ride and the tour guide was fun. A couple of things I observed that I hope will be improved. One is that someone was throwing his barbecue fritters to the alligator. The guide was not attentive to this nor did he remind people not to do that. The guide also threw a large ice cube at one of the alligators and it landed on its head. That shows disrespect to the animals and sets a bad example to the passengers. Our driver was really nice and efficient getting us to and from the park.

Swamp boat - Very informative and interesting tour. Plenty of gators and our guide was great. Would have given it five stars but we didn’t see much wildlife at all except for the gators

Tour Operator was excellent, Viator/Trip Advisor was a disaster. - The tour itself was great! The guide was very fun and very knowledgeable. I was supposed to go on the 10:00am tour w transportation and when I was looking at the details the night before I was confused bc it wasn't clear when I was supposed to meet the driver. There was a line in a single email about a 30 minute window, up to 90 minutes before the tour. When I reached out to the vendor they lmk that they don't offer transportation for the 10am. They were kind enough to switch me to the later tour and clarified that yes, I did need to be there 90 minutes prior to start. Even then, my ride was a few minutes early. This did disrupt my day, so I called viator to understand how I was sold a tour that didn't exist. They said they would call the operator and get back to me. They have not. I definitely didn't get my money's worth from the museum I went to and had to Uber to make it to the tour on time, neither of which would have been an issue of id had the morning tour. Book directly w the vendor if you can. Viator won't help if something goes wrong.

An Average Tour - This was nice for those wanting a more quiet swamp tour experience. We didn't get to see too many gators which was disappointing. Our tour guide wasn't the liveliest either. I think we will try the airboat swamp tour next time. Someone told us the gators were being fed marshmallows and the experience was a total blast.

Lied in writing - Lied in emails about their animal welfare situation. Promised me no animals were in captivity but a baby alligator is kept in a small tank for viewing. Was told, oh the front desk doesn’t always answer questions properly, no apology either. Only booked because they guaranteed they had none, amongst other questions. If you’re concerned about ethical/animal welfare tourism, it’s not for you.
