Fun Adventure! - It was so nice to not worry about anything. Picked us up and dropped us off from the hotel. Our driver was so funny! Loved him. The bus was cool and the instructions were clear. We had plenty of time to wander the grounds of the plantation and do the house tour which was really good. You can't take a bad photo there. STUNNING! Our swamp tour was really fun. Awesome guides! It was educational and fun. It was hot and humid but worth the trip!

wait, wait... hurry, hurry - The tour does offer transportation from any NOLA hotel which is convenient since parking is such an issue in the city. The timeframe for pick up was changed by the tour company but we were not informed of this. So, we waited an extra 45 minutes before our timeframe. Bus driver was not overly friendly but she did get us to the swamp tour quickly, maybe 45 minutes. Swamp tour did not leave on time so, another 45 minutes was spent waiting around the dock waiting for the boat captain to arrive. Maybe some information boards regarding the wildlife or the habitation we were about to see could be posted to help keep folks entertained during the wait. The tour itself was really nice. Beautiful scenery and it was a perfect weather day!! After the tour, back on the bus for a 75-80 minute bus ride to the plantation. Absolutely beautiful plantation, but as we were leaving the bus, the driver informed our group we had 1 hour to walk the grounds, view the outbuildings, the gift shop and grab some lunch before our tour of the big house was to start. Lunch options: there is a restaurant and a cafeteria style snack bar. Our group was so far behind schedule, the restaurant had just closed for the day (3pm) so we went to the snack bar (no choice) which offered pre-made sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts. My wrap was actually pretty good but I did not travel to NOLA to have a chicken ceasar wrap. Outbuildings were interesting but had hardly any time to read about what we were viewing. No time for the gift shop or to walk the formal gardens. Only had time to walk from the outbuildings to the main house. Gorgeous Live Oak trees!! Probably about 200 years old. The tour of the house was nicely done. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. No photos were permitted inside the house, but we were able to walk on the second level gallery. Simply beautiful views!! We arrived at the plantation at 3:15pm, the house tour was at 4:15pm and were expected back at the bus at 5pm which did not leave a lot of time to explore. Especially if you intend to eat, as well. Just be aware, the bus ride to the swamp tour, to the plantation and back to NOLA took up the majority of the 8 hour tour.

Horrible - Very unprofessional. We were coming in from out of town and four days before the tour they called to cancel and said the driver was sick and out until the following Tuesday. Now we have to wait for a refund. Will never use this company again when we come back to NOLA
