An experience not to be missed at Sataya - Beautiful experience, extremely competent and helpful staff. One of the employees called Mimmo is the best, he is an Egyptian boy and has an excellent knowledge of languages including Italian and he also personally accompanied us to the workstation since we were late due to the time difference. They always welcomed us every day with joy and with an excellent greeting. It had become our meeting place to share experiences and carry out cultural exchanges. If possible we will definitely visit you again. Highly recommended as an experience to have as well as a lot of fun.

Private Bus to Cairo - Wow what a day. We hired a private minibus and guide for our to trip to Cairo and had the most amazing day. 3 adults and I child £300 for the entire day. Bargain of a price! We were picked up at 3am and started our 6 hour drive (30 min stop for breakfast half way). We were initially concerned about the length of the drive but the bus was equipped with bench seating meaning the 4 of us had a bed to sleep on in lovely air conditioning. It is worth paying the extra £50 to upgrade to a bus from a car as the car would have been cramped. We visited the ancient museum while our guide told us all about the history of many of the different pieces of art work. She was very knowledgeable and really made the visit worth while. We paid the museum extra to let us visit the Royal King and queens mummy room where we were allowed to view the mummified kings and queens, a must if you visit Cairo. We left the museum and had a world-wind tour of the city to see the Palace and the Citidal, one of the oldest mosques in the world! We were then taken to see the Nile and for a few extra ££ were able to take a boat ride on the Nile in the old traditional sail boats, again something worth doing if you visit. We were taken for lunch in a nice restaurant where we had a BBQ style lunch. This was included in the price but drinks were extra. We had water on us at the time and the restaurant were happy for us to drink our own water for a few £ tip. Onto the Pyramids and Sphinx were our guide gave us more valuable information on the history and took some lovely pictures of our family. We were invited to visit one of the tombs within the pyramids and after a long climb into the depts. of the earth were presented with the actual tomb. Amazing! Photos are not allowed within the tomb but we found this wasn't a problem if you have a few £ to the security guards. We then visited a Papayas institute where we were shown how the Egyptians made paper 5000 years ago out of the papayas plant . Very interesting and gave us a chance to buy some wonderful paintings on original hand pressed papayas paper. We visited a oil shop and given the chance to buy some perfumes however we have seen this process before so we politely refused and took in more of the everyday sights that Cairo has to offer. A very busy city holding 22 million people all apparently beeping there car horns at you :o). We drove back and returned to our resort in Hughada about 830pm. refreshed after a sleep on our bus. One tip. If you want to buy anything in Cairo ask your drive to buy it for you. He will be charged a local price which is about 3/4 less that a tourist price. A special mention to Mohammad our driver who was EXCEPTIONAL throughout the day. He was a knowledgeable as our guide and stopped off on route home to show us the Suisse Canal and some wonderful mountains along the way. Thank you Mohammad for making our trip even more special.
