Must have experienced. - Stunning animals, a whole school with about 20+ dolphins and some babies, at a few meters, sometimes inches away. Great food, nice boat. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it takes an eternity to get to Sataya Reef. About 4h, more or less, depending on the swell, from the hotel to Hamata harbour and then by boat to Sataya Reef. But once arrived, it was really worth the long wait, all the staff of the excursion team are absolutely nice, helpful and want to get to know you really personally, you feel totally comfortable.

incredible time - Unbelievable day! Swimming with spinner dolphins at Satayeh Reef was magical. The lunch on the boat was delicious. Can't miss this if you're in Marsa Alam!

Must-do experience - You can't dislike an snorkeling experience that drops you in the midst of a large (approximately 60) pod of dolphins. The experience is exhilarating. And you also have the experience of snorkeling at a dramatically beautiful reef. I would probably do it again. But do know several

Uniquely great experience - It was a really great trip. With 7 guests on board, it was fantastic. When we arrived at the harbor, we went out to sea in an exclusive boat. After about 2 hours we arrived in the bay. We were brought close to the dolphins in an inflatable boat. We were very lucky that we were able to swim with lots of dolphins in several groups. The animals were not shy at all and came very close to us. Our Quids looked after my girlfriend really well, who was still very unsure about snorkeling and swimming in the open sea. Simply brilliant, we have never experienced anything so great before. After lunch, which was also very tasty, we were able to swim with the dolphins for a second time. After that we went to a beautiful coral reef to experience the underwater world up close. Absolutely brilliant. On the way back we had a pretty rough sea, which caused some people considerable problems. Participants with sea problems were looked after very, very attentively. Absolutely brilliant. A great team with a great program, just to be recommended. Keep it up

Tour with children - We wanted to share this experience with our 6-year-old daughter, but our group gait wasn't so enthusiastic and didn't pay enough attention to her, she was also a bit scared and was immediately put back on the boat, although she could have at least been closer from the small dinghy. I don't think it's designed for children. The little ones are also looking forward to the dolphins and want to swim with them as it was offered, but you have to swim after them in a sporty way to be with the animals, so children are not really suitable and are completely left out, which is a shame. Otherwise a nice experience, long journey there and back but only a very short time with the dolphins, would have liked to have had more time there and skipped the second stop. Also confusing why you pay another €7 per person and child. Others only charge €2 or don't have to pay at all, there was no receipt either 🤷♀️

Good trip if you're lucky; the problem is "getting there" - You can't dislike an snorkeling experience that drops you in the midst of a large (approximately 60) pod of dolphins. The experience is exhilarating. And you also have the experience of snorkeling at a dramatically beautiful reef. I would probably do it again. But do know several things. First, while my group got very lucky, I was told that tourists see dolphins about 30-40% of the time. So prepare for a VERY long boat ride that might disappoint you. Second, to ensure that your boat ride to the reef consumes 1.5---not 2 or more--hours, I would INSIST that my boat have twin engines. The boat I rode was an 80 foot behemoth with a single engine that pushed us at no more than 8-10 knots: ridiculously slow for such a long ride. In the end, my group spent 10 hours "getting somewhere" (i.e. from hotel to boat, then boat to reefs) for a grand total of 1.5 hours in the water. (It didn't help that upon returning to the dock, we had to walk 5-7 minutes in hot sun to the van because the tour operator did not want to pay the 185 egp to pick us up at the dock. Not very classy.) Two more points: pickup from your hotel is VERY early (mine was at 5 am) and no food is provided until well after noon. So have your hotel pack a breakfast or bring your own. Lunch, however, is a nice combination of meats and salads, though drinks are limited to sugary sodas, water, and coffee. Second, as on my Hamata islands snorkeling tour, guides want to shepherd the group around quickly; if you are an experienced snorkeler, tell them that, ditch the guides, and explore the coral on your own. It will be a much more memorable experience. One more thing, if you get lucky and see dolphins, have your camera battery charged for both video and still shots.

Very bad information for off and cranky staff - I would like to make a complaint about our holiday. We booked a trip a dolphin tour. We were told we would spot dolphins at dawn. We are picked up half past five in the morning. And apparently we still had to drive 3.5 hours to our location.... We were never told this and I am very carsick myself this was so really not a nice ride the rest of the boat trip I was also very sick and I could not enjoy myself, if I had known this I would never have booked this trip. We were also told that a Dutch and Belgian supervisor would come along , instead we had 1 supervisor who spoke poor English..
We also got an air box with us that was so for breakfast what we did not know. We got 2 small sandwiches a pack of drinks and a bottle of water never enough for 6.5 hours..... also we have to go back in the car for 3.5 hours so that is a whole day on the road for little result. there were people we picked up much later from the hotel for their was an hour drive and their lunch box was well stocked.
Our supervisor didn't understand on the way there we asked how long it was still driving as I was mega car sick he told us it took an hour but we were definitely on the bus for 2 hours....
We finally didn't go out on the water until half past nine and a quarter to 12 was only our first dive after a 6.5 hour ride... the boat is way too full there's not even room for everyone. On the boat we saw a number of dolphins but the crew of the boat was in front of the boat and they wanted to see everything so that all guests could not see anything....
Other than that, the crew was pretty heavy-handed and cranky. A lot of shouting at each other so there was no nice atmosphere on the boat. Also, the supervisors can just about not speak English and they are cranky this was also felt by other Dutch guests. Several people were also pulled by their arms. And as soon as we are in the water there are 10 boats with 200 men in the water so no dolphins. The crew sails full throttle with boats towards us and they do not pay attention to where their sails are. So slow swimming wasn't in the cards either. It was just dangerous in the water you had to constantly watch if no boat would sail over you at full speed. all the dolphins have gone away because of this... A number of people were hit by the crew. And all they have to say is (it’s the season)
So we are 14.5 hours on the road for today 05:30 - 20:00 for only a few hours sailing with little result.
I think this is really very badly arranged. Now we have spent 180 for a whole day of sick and bad information. I'll never do this again. We expect correct information. And I'm also going to put a review on trip advisor!
This is a waste of money and a whole holiday has been wasted. I hope you'll do something about this because I don't agree with this. We expect compensation or a solution
