Shali Fortress - Starts at 9:00 am , Central Siwa is dominated by the spectacular organic shapes of the remains of this 13th-century mud-brick fortress. Built from kershef (chunks of salt from the lake just outside town, mixed with rock and plastered in local clay), the labyrinth of huddled buildings was originally four or five storeys high and housed hundreds of people. A path leads over the slumping remnants, past the Old Mosque with its chimney-shaped minaret, to the top for panoramic views.
Mountain of the Dead - The mountain contains number of tombs. The tombs, which cover every inch of its base and are situated on its terraces and on all sides of the conical part, date from the 26th dynasty , the Greek and the Roman periods, though there appear to be no Christian burials.
Temple of the Oracle of Amun / Aghurmi - The 26th-dynasty Temple of the Oracle sits in the northwest corner of the ruins of Aghurmi village. Built in the 6th century BC, probably on top of an earlier temple, it was dedicated to Amun (occasionally referred to as Zeus or Jupiter Ammon) and was a powerful symbol of the town’s wealth. It is believed Alexander the Great was declared son of Amun in this temple.
Dakrur Mountain - El Dakrour Mountain is one of the most admired mountains in Egypt that locates to the south west of Siwa Oasis in Marsa Matrouh. It encloses two cemetries that date back to the ancient Egyptian times: El Mawta Mountain or the Dead Mountain with its six necropolises of attractive colorful paintings, and Qresht Area eastward Siwa with some remains dating back to the Greek and Roman Period. Nowadays, the area of El Dakrror Mountain is renowned as a place for therapeutic tourism since it provides a full range of facilities for curing illnesses including rheumatism by covering the body of the person in hot sand for a certain period. El Dakrour Mountain area receives a large number of visitors during the annual celebration after the harvest season that remains for three days.
Cleopatra’s Pool - Spring of Juba - One of the most famous attractions in Siwa is Cleopatra’s pool, a stone pool fed by a natural hot spring, where the Egyptian queen herself is said to have swum on her visit to Siwa. Tourists have all been doing the same for years now; after all, a nice swim is so refreshing after a hot summer day tour!
Fatnas Island - This fairly secluded pool is on a small island in the salty Birket Siwa, accessible across a narrow causeway. Nicknamed ‘Fantasy Island’ for its idyllic setting, the pool is about 6km from Siwa Town, and surrounded by palm trees and lush greenery. It’s an idyllic place to watch the sunset, and there’s a small cafe among the palms, which is good for a spot of tea or juice .Now it is time to watch the sunset from Fitnas Island, enjoy the view with fresh juice and you also can ride the paddle-boat
