• Amphitheatre (les Arenes) - The Arles Arena is a Roman amphitheater constructed around 80-90 AD by the orders of Emperor Domitian, as part of the Flavian expansions of the city. The amphitheater of Arles stands as the most significant monument of the ancient Roman colony that we can still admire nearly two millennia after its construction. In Arles, as in the entire West, the amphitheater was, from the end of the 1st to the middle of the 3rd century, the most prominent symbol of Romanization.

• Theatre Antique - The ancient theater of Arles was built at the end of the 1st century BC, during the reign of Emperor Augustus, shortly after the founding of the Roman colony. Construction began around 40/30 BC and was completed around 12 BC, making it one of the first stone theaters in the Roman world.
