Venture through Marseille in this half-day journey, experiencing the city’s old port and historical heart. Take in the scenic Palais Longchamp (Water Castle), which was unveiled in 1869 to supply water from the Durance river to Marseille. Ascend to the famous Notre Dame de la Garde basilica, commonly referred to as la Bonne Mère. This structure, built in a Roman-Byzantine style in 1864, replaced an older chapel of the same name. From here, marvel at the stunning panorama of Marseille. Lastly, enjoy the delightful vistas offered by Chateau D’if before you make your way back to the Marseille cruise terminal.

The tour accommodates both small and large groups, ranging from 1 to 35 individuals.
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark

Wonderful Experience - We had the best experience with Djilani and this tour. Due to some health issues, we knew we only had a few hours to explore and a whole day of walking was not an option for my family. This tour allowed us to see an overview and highlights of the beautiful city. Djilani is an excellent tour guide providing the perfect amount of history and information mixed with fun. I highly recommend this tour and this organization. Communication was easy and the experience was even better than what we hoped for.

Great 4 hour excursion - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Marseille. 4 hours was a perfect amount of time to do a shore excursion from our boat. The photographic views from the Basilica are second to none.

Loving Marseille - The tour was great. It was a small group which I liked. Our guide Joe was able to answer many questions and provide history about the city of Marseille during each stop. He also took us to some social media worthy locations that were breath taking. I would definitely recommend for those wanting a half day tour of the city.

Book this tour! - "Joe" is what he told us to call him is amazing! He is super friendly and knowledgeable. He makes you feel like family. He knows everything about anything to do with Marseille. He was at the designated pick up outside of the cruise port. He took us to amazing stops and allowed us ample time to tour and take pictures. He is passionate about his job and it shows. We felt safe and I would recommend him 1000 percent.

A good glimpse of many places. - Saw all the main points of interest of the city. Not for small children. “Paco” the guide was very personable.

Guide was very knowledgeable and provided so much information it was hard to process at times. - It was a bit confusing as to where we had to go to meet the tour guide, eventually we met another couple also on the tour and the guide arrived. The can was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Enjoyed the war memorial fountain and and a visit to the village at the top of the town.

Do not go on this tour - Not a small group. Up to 40 people. On huge bus that takes forever to drive anywhere.
The walk from the cruise ship is 25 minutes away.
The bus can not go to top of cathedral so there are 100 plus slippery steps to navigate.
They waited for 20 minutes for late comets and added a stop that one person requested making the end time an hour later than scheduled.
Very expensive tour for seeing very little in large crowded bus and walking a mile to get to bus.
Hard pass.

They cancel short notice! - I booked this excursion for 12:30pm three months ago, and the tour operator just contacted me the day before my flight (48 hours before the excursion) letting me know they only have 9am tours and no longer any 12:30pm tours. Naturally, I already pre-planned my morning and had a different tour booked already for 9am (not through Trip Advisor), so it had to be cancelled. I’m wanting to warn other travelers of this since they still have 12:30pm listed as an option. I’ve never had a tour canceled with such short notice before and for this reason - they had three months to let me know 12:30pm was no longer an option. Now, I am left without an afternoon tour since the others are fully booked. This was very poorly handled and will not be recommending this company to anyone. It will make me think twice about using Trip Advisor again and am surprised they would partner with such a company.
