A perfect start to our honeymoon! - My husband and I started our honeymoon in Marseille with a walking tour that included a visit to the Hôtel Dieu Intercontinental Marseille. The building’s elegant architecture and stunning views of the Old Port set a romantic tone for our trip. Our guide shared intriguing details about the building’s transformation from a hospital to a luxury hotel, adding depth to our appreciation of the site. This walk was a beautiful introduction to Marseille’s charm and history.

The highlight for me was visiting the Jardin des Vestiges, where the ancient ruins of the old port were uncovered. It was fascinating to stand among the remnants of Marseille’s early days, imagining what life was like centuries ago. The tour was well-paced and informative, offering a deep dive into the city’s rich heritage that I will remember for years to come.

Fabien was great! - As a solo traveler in my mid-20s, I joined the guided walking tour of Marseille to immerse myself in the city’s rich history. The highlight for me was exploring Le Panier, the oldest neighborhood in Marseille, with its narrow streets and street art. The guide’s stories brought the area to life, making me appreciate the layers of history embedded in every corner. It was the perfect way to experience Marseille beyond the usual tourist spots.

Family friendly adventure - My family had a wonderful time on the exploration of Marseille, especially when we visited Fort Saint-Jean. My kids, ages 8 and 11, were fascinated by the fort's towering walls and the panoramic views of the harbor. The tour was engaging for all ages, with plenty of interesting facts to keep the kids entertained while the adults soaked in the historical significance of the site. It was a great way to learn about Marseille’s past while spending quality time together.

Free tour had to be paid before the start - The guide, Fabien, demanded 10€ from each of us before starting the tour. We know that we normally need to pay something, but it is at the end of the tour, never at the beginning and there is no minimum amount. Fabien said he had to pay 3€ to register us on the platform, because we were a group of 10 people. The tour was good, but not extaordinary.
