With her expert guidance, we crafted two types of pasta, including the iconic orecchiette. As the pasta rested and the sugo simmered gently on the stove, we ventured into the garden with Vincenzo, Mariuccia’s husband, to pick fresh fruit. The figs and plums were irresistible, and we indulged in their sweet juiciness right there among the trees.
