The small city of Martvili is just half an hour away from Kutaisi.
Martvili district is truly one of the gorgeous places in Georgia – combining a unique natural environment.
You will be shocked by brilliant scenery, sensational waterfalls, and a boat trip in the river with deep green color.
You can take a boat with a boatman, and he will take you on an unforgettable journey in the canyon.
The walls of the canyons are covered with moss.

Prometheus Cave - Kumistavi owes a famous legend about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus.”
The legend says that Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the Gods and was punished brutally.
The eagle tormented him, eating his liver; however, unlike the Greek giant, cruel Gods were chained.
Amirani, not to the rock, but inside a massive cave.
Khvamli Mountain is visible from Prometheus Cave, where the legend says Prometheus was chained.
Spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and cave lakes.
The cave has colorful lights, ranging from orange-red to pink and blue.

Jinga the best - I enjoyed so much on the trip with Jinga, she is exceptionally friendly with family and kids she took care of my 3 years old kid and kept us entertained in travel with her dance and karishma, her knowledge towards history was remarkable and kept us engaged through out the journey and could know about the Georgian culture,food and history.
Highly recommended jinga if you are travelling with family and friends

Memorable Tour into the Nature !! - This is a nice tour to have if you want to touch Kutaisi while staying in Tbilisi. Since, this tour involves around 8hrs sitting in the car so I was skeptical before booking but than decided to put my trust into Budget Friendly Tour and honestly telling they didn’t let me down and I was really impressed with their hospitality.
This tour involves two stops Prometheus Caves and Martvili Canyons and both stops are amazing and I really felt connected to nature. The lunch stop was nice and food is also good, everything was served fresh and hot.
Cherry on top was our amazing guide Tengo. He is fun loving, cheerful & kind. And kept the group engaged & energetic throughout the journey, clicked lot of pictures of the whole group. Since, this is was a long tour so I would give Tengo full marks for his hospitality and guiding us during this journey.

Rainy day - Part of the trip was impossible to do due to heavy raining conditions. So the planned boat trip was canceled, we saw only small part of Canyon alley , and primarily cave visit needed to be changed to another cave.
Overall the Gide was the most positive thing about this trip - he stayed very positive and supportive all time.
Chosen restaurant for lunch was terrible though - too salty the food - suggested to select another one for these tours.
Overall - most of the time we spend in the bus.
