From Kutaisi to Martvili

Prometheus Cave - The largest karst cave in Georgia.

The cave stretches for about 11 km, with 1 km accessible to visitors. It features 22 halls, six of which are open to tourists.

Okatse Canyon - A natural monument in Georgia, located near the village by the Okatse River.

Martvili Canyon - A 700-meter-long stone-paved circular route begins at the Martvili Canyon visitor center and follows the historical Dadiani trail. The route includes 2 bridges, 3 viewing platforms, and a historic 30-step staircase made from large limestone boulders.

Visitors can take a 300-meter boat tour on the Abasha River and enjoy stunning views of the mountain river canyon.

Monastery Martvili - Martvili Monastery, dating back to the 7th century.

Enguri Dam - A hydroelectric dam on the Enguri River in Georgia. It is currently the world’s second-highest concrete arch dam, standing at 271.5 meters tall.

Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography - Established in 1936, this small mountain museum in a traditional Svan tower boasts a rich collection comparable to any European museum. It houses valuable gold and silver items, icons, ornaments, hunting accessories, military armor, coins, and other masterpieces of applied art. These treasures were voluntarily offered by parishioners to churches, following the ancient tradition of Georgian highlanders. The museum also features a significant collection of ancient Georgian manuscripts from the 9th to 11th centuries.

Town-Fortress Nokalakevi - Also known as Archaeopolis, this ancient town-fortress in the Samegrelo region of Western Georgia dates back to the 4th century BC and was a key strategic point on the Silk Road. Visitors can explore well-preserved fortifications, citadels, and temples that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Nokalakevi is also near several hot sulfur springs believed to have medicinal properties. Located on the Tekhuri River, these warm waters are known to alleviate joint pain, skin conditions, and respiratory issues. Nokalakevi is a popular destination for history buffs, nature lovers, and those seeking relaxation.
