All round winner for our senses. - We live between four countries, travel is our thing and galleries too. This was the best art exhibit we have experienced sbd the gardens both inner and outside were well laid out and a truly pleasant experience. Lunch at the restaurant was both appetising, interesting and well priced. We will return. Oh and loved the shopping too.

Exceptional - After many years of driving past the so-called Sculpturium, we finally decided to pay a visit. Wow, what an experience! We were totally blown away! Everything has been beautifully curated and the range of things to see is quite amazing. You will not spend a better two hours than this in the Matakana area. If you haven’t been, go!!

A wonderland full of amazing art - I'm so happy I found this unique place and could spend some really inspiring hours wandering around the gardens and galleries. There are so many different things to discover in a lovely surrounding and it even works perfectly together as a whole piece of art.
On top of that, I got such nice support from the lady at the reception when I had to manage a problem with the car.
I'd love to come back for another visit some day.

Great time - Had a great time. Was recommended the experience by a friend. I went there with no preconceived ideas and was amazed by the art both in the gardens and the inside galleries. Would recommend and would go again.

A serious must visit.. - I don't really get art...or at least I didn't before this visit. Now I feel I understand so much more. Art has to stimulate an emotional reaction of some kind, either positive or negative and people's tastes and cultures are different. So...I can't pretend to have liked everything I saw but I came away with a much better understanding and a wider appreciation. The quotes area was very interesting....I photographed many of the exhibits...and it served to expand my appreciation. The staff we met were friendly and enthusiastic about the place and their work. A really worthwhile visit THANK YOU.

Two Old Poms being Wowed! - This was a birthday present to my husband, and I reluctantly went along but WOW! I was so pleased I had. We were told it would take a couple of hours but we're there for four, only stopping for an ice-cream in the middle! It was amazing, with surprises round every corner. The display boards were full of thought-provoking information and the sculptures were all interesting in one way or another, some classical, some alternative, some whimsical, but all engaging. The gallery wasn't on my bucket list either but it was extraordinary and full of experimental and fun pieces. Who knew art could be so interesting and not in some stuffy art gallery? We also loved the last garden with the pink snails and the big green rabbit, plus lots of crazy animals and birds. Thank you for your vision Anthony and Sandra - you've altered my view of art!

Magical - Inspired by the Traitors NZ which was filmed locally and included this vineyard and gallery, we decided to visit and it's magical. Nicely laid out and nice place to just chill and soak up the art. Karen on reception provided the perfect kiwi welcome.

Go there now! - The outdoor walk is fantastic with a huge variety of art on display. Many of these are set in what feels like a forest of beautiful Pitt Island nikau palms, and the effect is stunning. There are incredible works of animals including a horse made from driftwood and a gravity-defying piece depicting a boy pushing a girl on a swing. The water fountain feature of the umbrella man was also very cool.
One garden section featured great quotes by Steve Jobs while other sections had many more wonderful sayings from all kinds of folk - Mandela, Einstein and Leonard Cohen to name just a few.
Quirky bird and other creatures by a father and his sons, maybe Polish with a name I can’t remember sadly (Dobrowsky?) were so engaging I wanted to take them home to put in our garden! And there’s the kitsch fun that comes with giant pink snails and a green rabbit, all guarded by colourful meerkats.
The inside galleries are chock full of delights also, from Picasso to Warhol and beyond. I was awed by the room with the huge orange and blue Chihuly glass piece, having seen other works of his overseas. Never dreamed we had such a beauty here in New Zealand!
This place is seriously unknown and deserves to be on everyone’s itinerary, Kiwis and international travellers alike. It is full of colour, creativity and inspiration- a joy to visit. Go!
