Next, visit the village of Matala, renowned for its golden sandy beach, crystal-clear waters, and the famous caves carved into the cliffs. Spend 1 hour and 45 minutes swimming, relaxing, or wandering through the village’s vibrant streets, rich in history and charm.
At 13:45, arrive in the village of Zaros, celebrated for its fresh spring water and natural beauty. Here, enjoy 2 hours to savor an optional lunch of local specialties, take a stroll by Lake Votomos, and explore the traditional watermills that highlight the area’s heritage.
Return to Heraklion, arriving at the meeting point by 17:00.
