Wonderful Experience - What a wonderful experience. Cozumel and Lorenzo were amazing hosts who not only taught us about the wonderful culture of food in Southern Italy, but also talked about the culture of their village and the history of the cave they had their business. We shared many conversations and many laughs. This is an experience not to be missed!!!

Amazing class, good, people and Sassi cave. - Absolutely wonderful hosts. It was great to just chat without formalities throughout the experience (it was much more than a cooking class, it was a cultural exchange) and the food was perfectly natural and delicious. The space is gorgeous. I hope to stay in the connected B&B next time we are in Matera.

Awesome - Excellent! I would highly recommend you try this experience. The host and chef were on time. Lorenzo greeted us and gave us a tour of the home where we would be cooking. They were clean and professional in every aspect. The chef was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained how the tradition of the meals are prepared. Told stories from his childhood and life experiences. It was fun experience to make the pasta.

A highlight of our trip - cannot be missed if you are in Matera! - Our time with Cosimo and Lorenzo was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy and the wonderful town of Matera. During this leisurely morning and into the afternoon, we learned about traditional Southern Italian cooking techniques and life in Matera from our two most kind, warm, and welcoming hosts. The food itself was delicious, beginning with a discussion of the important of fresh bread shaped and baked in the special regional way, then leading to phenomenal bruschetta, pumpkin and bread stew, and hand-shaped pasta with tomato sauce. Learning to shape the pasta in its distinctive shape was a highlight, as we all had the chance to try and compare our improving skills along the way. Truly a way to experience the culture of this beautiful part of the world and the uniqueness of Matera - where else can you learn to cook in a cave?!?

Relaxed lovely lunch! - We had the BEST time on this experience! The hosts were so lovely and relaxed, and really shared their love of food and culture with us. We were a group of 8 which was perfect. Come hungry, we ate a lot!! It was lovely just watching the hosts cook and fun to try making pasta shapes ourselves, and we were all super full by the end! Our experience was 4 hours because we were having such a nice relaxed time :)

A fun experience and tasty food - Interesting morning, good facts about some of the local traditional meals and recipes. A couple of the courses were made by the chef and they were super tasty to eat. He then showed us how to make the pasta and we then joined in - hands on. My daughters really enjoyed this part. This pasta and sauce was the.n great to eat. A nice enjoyable morning.

Difficult to find and poor signage - Sadly the operator/chef never showed up. We eventually spoke to him on the phone and he sincerely apologized however it still cost us our whole morning and it was too late to book anything else.
