An amazing historical experience - We had a great tour of Murgia Materana for 2 hours with Frederico, our English speaking guide. The English language tours are more expensive because there are fewer guides who tour in English plus we had a private tour for 2 people. It was well worth it. He drove us to the park from the tour agency and then we walked for the next 2 hours. It is not easy walking but not too hard either. We heard stories on the history of the Murgia, Matera, plants, archeology, culture. It was lovely being in the park and facing Matera when the lights start flickering on as night fell. You can drive yourself to the park and walk but you’ll miss so much information without a guide. I would recommend.

Tour of Murgia - Well organized tour, our Guide Anita excellent , very good at explanations. Recommendation is to try the tour as you can admire the neighborhoods of the stones

Brilliant Experinence - The whole evening was wonderful! I got this a gift for my girlfriend. The walk to the cliff side was lovely. Filled with wonderful views and the information that Antonello and Mikeala gave us really helped us appreciate the area even more. The caves and views were exceptional, it truly is an amazing way to see the town of Sasso, Antonello and Mikeala were so helpful and insightful. We could ask any question about the area and region. They would even take photos of us at certain points of the walk. After the trip, Antonello and Mikeala would answer any questions we had about Matera and Italy in general. I would highly recommend this tour. It truly is one of a kind!

Glorious sunset tour - We had the most amazing experience. Ur guide had lots of great information. Watching the sun set on the Stassi of Matera was breathtaking. As was seeing the city light up and darkness came.

Highlight of my matera trip - It was a very informative and fun guided tour with a friendly guide who not only shared history but shared information to my interest. The views are breathtaking. Especially the visit to the caves when it’s sunset, paints a memorable view of matera at night adorned with lights. Strongly recommend everyone to not miss this tour on their matera trip

Wonderful experience - A nice experience to walk in the natural environment of the park. The guide is very good and explained everything clearly. The night scenery of Matera is amazing.

Nice tour - A nice country tour to do at the end of the afternoon because it ends with the spectacle of Matera at sunset. Well organized agency. Francesco is a very helpful and competent guide.

Not What Was Promised - There were good things about this tour. The sunset was beautiful and the walk fun. But it was a real disappointment for our group. There was an English speaking guide, as promised, but the expert in the area spoke only Italian. He spoke extensively to the English guide but the English speaking guide did not translate. In the end, they were only speaking to each other. We did not go into any caves. The guide said he needed 24 hour advanced notice to enter the caves but we made our reservation weeks ahead of time. The driver who took up to the park texted while he was driving us. I could not believe it. The trip was not at all what was promised. I do not recommend it.

Do not trust this company - Please do not use this Company Four of us jointly booked a tour to be provided in English starting at 2.30pm with a maximum of 20 people. We paid double the price the company charged for the same tour in Italian at approx £60 a head for a 2.5 hour tour What we were provided was way short of expectations it started at 2.45 but we were then left by the road side in the park waiting for a guide finally the tour started 30 minutes late The group size exceeded the maximum with over 25 people on it We were the only 4 English speaking participants on the tour which the guide provided in English and Italian Although the guide worked very hard to provide a tour in both languages it was impossible for her to fulfill what we had bought We paid a premium for a tour in English not one in two languages We paid for a maximum group size of 20 We paid for a tour that started at 2.30pm not half an hour late The company despite my complaints say the tour was as advertised and no refund is due what so ever I have used tour guides all round the world and this is the first occasion I have been treated so appallingly and had to complain The guide was not the problem it is the TOUR COMPANY- do not touch with a barge pole they do not honour the contract they enter into I am taking action through my credit card company but this is an outrageous waste of my time and detracts from what should have been a memorable tour. The park it self and Matera are both wonderful fortunately we booked a tour of Matera through a different company who delivered a great tour
