- Belvedere Luigi Guerricchio - Starting point with initial introduction on the Barisano stone
- Piazza San Giovanni - From the Guerricchio terrace through via San Biagio, we will walk to Piazza San Giovanni, where we will visit the Romanesque-style church of San Giovanni externally, and the beautiful square where Matera was proclaimed European Capital of Culture for 2019.
- Chiesa rupestre di San Pietro Barisano - From Piazza San Giovanni we will walk towards the rock church of San Pietro Barisano, the largest rock church in the city dating back to the year one thousand, with the external facade rebuilt and entirely dug out of the rock. The only example of ancient and modern church.
- Casa Grotta nei Sassi di Matera - Cave house of peasant civilization, where you will be described how Matera families lived until the 1950s.
- Church of Santa Maria de Idris - From the Casa Grotta we will walk towards Monterrone where we will visit the rock church of Santa Maria de Idris and San Giovanni in Monterrone.
- Piazza Giovanni Pascoli - Piazza Giovanni Pascoli where we will end the tour, overlooking the Sasso Caveoso.
