Snow Monkey Park (Jigokudani Yaen Koen) - The Snow Monkey Park is a globally renowned tourist attraction in Japan. The Snow Monkeys are completely wild animals, yet they descend to the village to enjoy the hot springs. Several decades ago, villagers faced challenges with monkeys invading fields, so they devised a clever solution by creating communal areas for the monkeys. The monkeys began using the public baths and gradually started enjoying the hot springs just like humans.

Matsumoto Castle - There are 11 castle towers that have survived since their construction. Matsumoto Castle is one of these and is considered the most beautiful tower, recognized as a National Treasure alongside Himeji Castle. The harmony between the castle and the backdrop of the Hotaka Mountains is stunningly beautiful. It is highly recommended to explore this hidden gem.

Takayama - Takayama City is an ancient city that has thrived since historic times. It was a crossroads of major roads and was once a significant producer of timber and lumber, leading to the development of woodcraft and carpentry skills. Visitors can experience the charm of the bygone days.

Shirakawago - Shirakawa-go is a quaint village located in a snowy region surrounded by towering mountains. The villagers have led a self-sufficient lifestyle for many years, characterized by their unique way of living. The steeply curved thatched roofs are a prime example. Nearby is the central town of Takayama, which also preserves an old townscape. Both historic locations are worth visiting.
