Highlights
- 1900 S Kihei Rd - CHECK-IN at Kalama Beach Park at our Surf Club Maui van, we will outfit you with reef shoes and a rash guard surf shirt. We start with a short land lesson to go over the safety and technique. Then our experienced coaches get into the water with you and help you catch waves. The water is warm, and the waves are usually gentle and the water is about waist to chest deep.\n\nPLEASE BE PREPARED: Please arrive well rested, and be sure to hydrate and Drink plenty of water before your session. \n\nTHIS GROUP SURF CLASS IS FOR MIXED AGES 11 AND UP. If you have younger kids you must book a Private lesson, or a Semi-private family class. If you arrive with a child under 11 years old the lesson will be canceled and no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding. \n\nNOTE: Surf students must be able to swim in the ocean, if you show up for the class and can not swim or are not comfortable in deep water, the lesson will be canceled and no-refunds will be given. \n\nWAIVER: We will send you a link to the Online Waiver form, please sign this before your lesson.\n\nPlease bring some cash for a Gratuity (tip) for your instructor.

Take up surfing in Maui. Training is provided at the finest surf location in the area. With our calm waters and approachable instructors, you’ll be up on your board riding waves before you know it. With seasoned surfing instructors, ideal surfing conditions, and limited class numbers, your experience in Maui is assured to be unforgettable. All attendees must be competent swimmers in ocean and deep waters.

Great time in Kihei - Great time on the water. Epps the instructor was top notch and now we need to buy a couple surfboards !

Great surf company! - The surf instructors were super professional and very kind. They supported my son while he was learning and turned him loose when they could tell he had the confidence and the skills to get up on the board on his own. We would use this company again and again.

Top Notch for Beginners - You never know what the wind and tides will bring, but our instructor, Sarge, was excellent. You bring the swimsuit and sunscreen, and the company brings the rest. There's some on-land time for learning the board basics, then right off to the 2 to 4 foot water depth to catch some baby waves. With groups limited to 4 max, you'll have personal time with the instructor as the others are padding back after riding a wave. I'd suggest going early morning for calmer winds, or call the place for tide information if you want to ride in shallower water if you're not confident about swimming.

Great family time for beginners - Great time. Was perfect for me and my young teenagers. Instruction was concise and appropriate. Our instructor, “the Sargent” was very knowledgeable and fun to chill with in between the waves.

Fun surf day - We had a great time with Surf Club Maui! It ended up just being my partner and I in the group so we were lucky. Our instructor, Alan, was great! Friendly, clear, and made the experience a blast. Especially for the price, this seems like the best option if your goal is to stand up on a surfboard for the first time and get your photos taken. The photographer was great and she airdrops your photos immediately ($60 per person in the group). I usually skip the photos but she did a great job and we got lots of photos for that price

Thanks Epes and Leilani - Just an amazing experience. Epes was a great instructor. Definitely was patient with me, my wife picked it up pretty quickly. Leilani took some amazing pictures of us. Wish I remembered her dad’s name, he was cheering us on from the shore every time we caught a wave. Definitely a must in Maui.

Sarge is the man and had my friends and I surfing in no time! - Learning to surf with my friends was amazing and so easy with Sarge. He made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water and got everyone up and surfing in no time! Kainoa, Jonny and Maui Dream Photography took some incredible shots of us and made us look like pros!

Fun - The crew was amazing!! As someone who CANT swim, Sarg was a great instructor! I wasn’t afraid or nervous the whole time. Kainoa took AMAZING photos and videos.

Surfing w Sarg - Make sure to take this class when visiting Maui. Sarg, Kainoa and Johnny are an awesome crew who made for an amazing experience. They’re funny, encouraging, accommodating and will make sure you catch some waves. Be sure to request Sarg for your lesson
