Outstanding Sunset - Nature at its finest!!! - Absolutely awesome experience. Our Guide, david, was wonderful. Highly recommend this for everyone. It is a long afternoon, from 2 pm - 9 pm, but definitely worth it. The views on the way up and down the volcano are fabulous At the top, it will take your breath away. Butm dress warm for the top..it is cold and very windy..Bring some snacks or a sandwich, as they do not stop anywhere for dinner. Bring water also.

Sunset is better than sunrise! - Amazing experience and totally worth it. Glad we did the tour bus and didn’t drive ourselves. It got really busy and it’s a long drive! Sunset is 1000xs better than sunrise, too!

just beautiful - Very unique experience. The views were amazing. Our guide Kaneala was professional, engaging and funny. When they say wear layers, they mean it! It's cold and super windy.

Sublime sunset and up close with a dormant volcano! - Great trip! Being up to 10,000 feet in less than a hour is mind blowing, then seeing the crater up close, topped by the spectacle that the sunset was: priceless! The drive to Haleakala was made special by Dino’s commentary, his one-liners, and the majesty of the location. We had enough time for a trek down to the crater or up to the summit, and a sublime sunset.

Fabulous Haleakala Sunset Tour!! - We had an amazing time on the Haleakala Maui Sunset Tour. Our guide Mitchell was very informative on the history of Maui. Once we reached the top of Haleakala the views were spectacular. We viewed the crater and of course the beautiful sunset. We were so happy we listened to the advice of the tour company and packed our warm jackets . When we left the base of the mountain and it was in the 80’s and when we reached the top it was in the 50’s with a brisk wind. A number of people said they wished they had our jackets. Our tour bus was immaculate. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this tour.

Amazing Experience - The scenery was amazing. Our tour guide Mitchell was great. He was very informative and made sure we got up and down the moutains safely. Would highly recommend this tour. Bring a sweater because it gets real cold at that elevation.

Totes worth the long drive! - Spectacular trip for National Park fans. Our tour guide, Mitchell, provided incredible insights into the history of Maui along the way from a Lahainan resident who has seen and experienced much since the August 2023 tragedy Take it from an amateur geologist: Mitchell and sunset cannot be beat. Native Hawaiian music even provided down the hill which lulled all 15 of us to sleep on the curvy road back. Breathtaking.

not worth the money or time - I wish we knew more what to expect along the way. The first driver never spoke to us so we had no idea what was going on. For us, it was a very long and boring ride both on the way as well as on the way home. Thenview at the top cleared quite well while we were there so that was nice and we got some pretty pictures. I would never spend $400 + for that again, i recommend going by yourself and reserving park passes well in advance.

BEWARE of this tour. VERY expensive for the experience! - We paid more than $600 for the three of us to go to this. What we were told was a 7 hour excursion turned out to be picking us up and driving more than 1.5 hrs to pick others up to meet at a Safeway to go to the bathroom and buy snacks. We bought very little as we thought we might be fed something. We then got on a big bus that separated our family and drove another two hours to get to the summit. We ended up 1/2 mile from the top, because the tour bus can't park there. All of the visitor centers were closed, so the entire excursion amounted to a drive up and back down. The sunset was very lovely, but we could have driven ourselves in half the time. After getting dropped off, not at our hotel like other parties, but at a meeting spot, and then finally getting back to our hotel, there were no restaurants open for us to get food. The entire experience was 9 hours and a lot of money we will never get back. We thought we were going on a more exclusive tour. VERY disappointing to my whole family.
