Discover the incredible underwater world of West Maui with an Eco-Friendly Yamaha 350LI Sea Scooter Guided Tour. Recognized among the top 10 snorkeling beaches on Maui, this area boasts stunning coral reefs, abundant wildlife, and sea turtles. Experience the breathtaking white sand beaches and the long rocky points that frame both sides of Kapalua Bay (weather permitting). This tour offers a unique way to snorkel with minimal effort, allowing for an up-close encounter with tropical marine life and sea turtles. As the first Snorkel Educational tour designed to make a difference, we have partnered with the Hawaii Coral Institute to monitor the reef for bleaching. Explore the coral reef and learn to identify coral diseases, marine invasive species, and fish diseases. Join our mission to “Leave it Better than you Found it.” We are the only ocean activity offering Airtime Watertime Flotation Wetsuits for rent at $25 each and providing guests with Sharkbanz 2 for safety. Our Yamaha 350LI Sea Scooter reaches speeds of 3.7 mph with three speed settings, and will go wherever you direct them.

EASIEST & MOST EFFORTLESS snorkeling EVER! _EXCITED EARLY MORNING - 🌊✨ WOW—what an unforgettable adventure with Eco Sea Scooter Snorkeling Academy Maui! We were beyond lucky to have Barbie as our guide for our private sunrise tour on March 7th! 🌅💙
This was hands-down the EASIEST and MOST effortless snorkeling experience we've ever had—pure fun, zero struggle! Instead of fighting the waves, we got to glide effortlessly through the water and spend more time diving down to explore the stunning underwater world at Kapalua Bay! 🐠🐢🌺
A huge shoutout to Barbie—her energy, passion, and love for the ocean are truly infectious! She made the experience exciting, fun, and absolutely magical. Thank you, Barbie! You made our Maui adventure one for the books! 🌟🤿🐬

Sea Scooter - This was an awesome and fun excursion and great way to kickoff our Maui vacation. Barb (Owner) and Julia (Diving instructor) were top notch.
They waited until we were comfortable and ready to hit the bay with the Sea Scooters.
They had plenty of power and made it seamless and easy to
Maneuver with the Airtime Watertime Floater suit.
These suits are the absolute best and could really help a person with disabilities still enjoy the water.

Best snorkeling experience - The best snorkeling experience I've ever hand HANDS DOWN! Barbie is just the sweetest, so informative, and you can really see how passionate she is about her work as well as preserving the sanctity of the oceans. Julia was an amazing tour guide; really patient, informative and fun as well! I appreciate her trying to show me how to do some tricks with scooter, even though I was struggling lol. I was also celebrating my birthday and they took great footage/ photos of me in mermaid tails. I recommend anyone, no matter what level swimmer you are or if you have any fear of the ocean (which I do myself) to book this excursion ASAP! I will definitely be doing this again when I'm back! Mahalo!

Unforgettable Underwater Adventure with Eco Sea Scooter Snorkeling Academy 🌊🤙🌺🐠🌴 - Eco Sea Scooter Snorkeling Academy 🪸🐠🤿 is an amazing women-owned business guided by the leadership and vision of Barbie Yamamoto! Her team is top-notch; focused on safety, environmental education/conservation, and ensuring everyone feels the aloha spirit. 🤙💯
I showed up at her house for a safety briefing and gear fitting. It was well organized. Everything was sanitized and laid out in advance. Despite being a certified freediver, I took the upgrade and wore one of the float suits. Other advanced swimmers might enjoy the fins-only option. I enjoyed the float suite and found it so relaxing just gliding through the water effortlessly. The 3 speeds on the sea scooter allow you to start slow and turn up the speed as you get more confident.
I was so impressed by how accessible this experience was to non-swimmers. There was a brother and sister pair on my tour, and neither of them were strong swimmers. After a brief orientation with our guide and with the aid of the float suit/scooter combo, they were as comfortable in the water as I was after the first ten minutes.
We explored the breathtaking underwater landscape of the vibrant Kapalua Bay, the visibility is world-class. We saw a wide variety of coral and abundant marine life including sea turtles and several species of fish. The underwater scooter made cruising the crystal-clear waters a breeze, giving us more time to soak in the scenery while covering a lot of ground. 🫶🌊🌴
The tour ended with a heartfelt debrief where we shared highlights and received tips on how to continue supporting marine conservation in our everyday lives. Eco Sea Scooter Snorkeling Academy is a gem, offering not just a fun adventure but also an opportunity to connect with the ocean in a meaningful way. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting—whether you’re a water enthusiast or a complete novice, you’ll leave feeling inspired and deeply connected to Maui's underwater world! I'm so glad I have GoPro footage to share on Instagram and revisit whenever I need to be reminded of how incredible our beautiful planet is. 🌏💖

Sea zoomies - Too much fun!!! The tour was well organized, the guide made sure everyone was comfortable in the water as well as with the use of the sea scooter but allowed us the freedom to explore within her lead. We zig zagged through the open ocean exploring all it had to offer. It was exhilarating…I felt like a dolphin zooming along with the wildlife. The bay was beautiful and I felt safe & free! If you want to take snorkeling to the next level, this is it! We had a blast!

I will do it again! - Informative and enthusiastic guide. With the scooters, we were able to explore a much larger area of the bay, with less effort. Spectacular opportunity to see turtles, fish and colorful coral.

Great excursion , hustled for extra money once you get there - The experience once you get to the water is great . Our guide was super knowledgeable and made it fun . The only negative experience is when we arrived to the excursion I was informed I had to pay a mandatory $25 per wet suit rental fee or we could not partake.
If it’s mandatory why is it not included in the already high priced excursion . In my opinion it’s an extra money grab . They know once you’re there you not going to back out .
