Beautiful and exhilarating Maui morning! - We have been to Maui many times and we were looking for something different and fun to do. So glad we did this! We are a family of 6 with kids ranging from 21-13, boys and girls and everyone had a great time! The owner and his guides were so friendly and the ride was beautiful and exhilarating as well. We had a small group (only one other couple with our family), which was so much better than the busload of tourists on the same type of tour behind us. We stopped for a nice lunch and also had fresh baked snacks along the way. Photos/videos were also included which I really appreciated! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maui Bombers!

Worth every penny and you’ll never forget the experience - It was the most fun you can have on a bike, no lie. The hosts were punctual, professional, and funny. Matt even baked delicious snacks- crest coconut muffins and passion fruit bars. The bikes were new and high-quality. I would 100 percent do this again and recommend anyone that likes to ride. We are pretty experienced riders, but even if you are a novice you’ll feel safe and protected on this ride. Matt rode out front and Erik followed in the van so the group was sheltered from cars. Matt took great photos and videos of the group along the way. There were only four of us, so we really felt like family. Lunch was included- we stopped at a cafe and had excellent food and beverages. There really isn’t a downside, but realize that it rains in Maui upcountry and is chillier at high elevations. Maui Bombers provided windbreakers and gloves, but you could get wet. We loved it. You will too.

Truly a personalized experience - What a great way to start your day. From start to finish our tour was top notch. Matt and Eric were our guides and they were both fantastic. There were only 5 riders in our group so we all got to know each other pretty quickly. The riding was super easy and super fun. Matt made some amazing homemade treats for us and gave them out at strategic points of our tour. Obviously the views are amazing all the way down. A really nice lunch in the small town of Makawao at the Makawao Garden Cafe was included in our tour creating a relaxing time for lunch and a bit of exploring the town. We finished off the tour all the way down at the beach near the town of Paia. I definitely recommend this tour. With the energy that Matt brings to the morning you forget he's working because he is having so much fun sharing this incredible area of Maui. Thank you again Matt and Eric for making it such a special experience.

Best ride down the volcano! - A great experience all around! Very organized and Matt and Eric were super helpful. Loved the snacks and great lunch that was included. And not having to get up so early for the ride.

Excellent experience - I bought two places on this tour for my wife and myself. My wife is a non-cyclist so sat in the vehicle and chatted to Eric who was driving us. As we were the only visitors on the day, it meant I had Matt all to myself. I only booked the tour after speaking with Matt and communicating via text, as I had initially been concerned by the company’s name which suggested (inevitably in this case) that their typical participant is a younger and more confident cyclist than this particular sixty-plus writer (although I subsequently learned that they have had people significantly older than me). I need not have worried as I was incredibly well looked after. The bike, a new Trek Verve step-through hybrid was really comfortable - so much so that I am thinking of getting one at home. Matt led the way down, Eric followed behind and radioed ahead to Matt if there were cars preparing to overtake so we could pull over if necessary. I really cannot see how they could have taken better care of me. We stopped for lunch which they arranged at a delightful cafe where they make their own Foccacia and had a chance to chat with Matt and Eric who were great company. Matt himself makes delicious cookies enjoyed during the drive through the Kula area where organised groups are not permitted to cycle. He also took some excellent photos and videos. The whole thing was a treat. The cycling downhill itself was glorious and Maui Bombers was a great way to do it. Strongly recommended.

BEST CYCLING COMPANY IN MAUI - This was our 2nd ride with Maui Bombers in 2 years. Cycling was my family's #1 choice of excursions. We had a great time. All the personal touches that Matt & Eric provide make it an obvious choice.

A great bike ride with Maui Bombers - The Cycle to the Sea tour with Maui Bombers was the bomb. As a three to four days a week Wisconsin cyclist, I was looking forward to riding from 6,500 ft above sea level down Haleakala. The tour met and even exceeded my expectations. Matt and Eric are great guides making sure the group was comfortable on the Trek bikes and having fun. The bikes were in all great condition and the couple of times we had to ride up short inclines the shifting was very smooth. Also having bike helmets instead of full face helmets was a big plus. Matt has a fantastic set of songs as a soundtrack for your ride down the switchbacks of Haleakala. He also takes photos and videos as you ride and then Airdrops the results to the group after reaching the end of the ride. These special extras are included in the cost of the tour. Eric follows the group down in the Honda Pilot which allows cars coming down the mountain to know that there are bikers ahead on the road. He also lets Matt know that cars are coming so Matt can signal the group that we need to move to the side of the lane. On the day we rode there was very little traffic so we had the whole lane to ourselves most of the time. The tour included delicious snacks, water or Gatorade. The lunch in Makawao was also delish with several items to chose from. The second half of the tour was also downhill from Makawao thru Paia and then on to Baldwin Park where we finished at the “sea”. I rode this solo as my wife is not a cyclist but enjoyed riding with the other three cyclists in the group. Big thanks to Matt for making sure I was able to ride with this group as he needs more than one rider for the tour. If you are trying to decide which bike tour to go with, I would highly recommend Maui Bombers.

Great bike ride - We all had a fun time on our tour. Matt and Eric were great guides, had yummy snacks for us, and made the trip a memorable experience. We appreciated having the bike helmets vs the full face helmets that other companies use, and liked our small group.

The Buckeye Bikers Go OSU - The tour was great and I would do it again when in Maui. It was a great trip down the mountain. The snacks were great and the lunch was excellent, get the fish.

Highly Recommend - If you are looking for a Haleakala bike experience this is it! My husband and I had an awesome time on this bike ride. Matt and his crew are so personable and accommodating. I've had other family members do some of the larger group rides down the mountain and they did not have nearly the same experience that we did with Maui Bombers. We recommend this tour to anyone we know going to Maui.
