Great tour and great mid ride treats - We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour and it was amazing. Matt knows a lot about the area and seems to know his way around the kitchen too as he spoiled us with homemade treats. His bikes are very comfortable and I felt very safe with good disc brakes and a good regular bike helmet. Pretty thankful I didn’t have to wear a full face lid in the Maui sun. His dry fit shirts are nice too

Fun Trip - Everything was amazing! Matt and his team made it such a fun experience! We had a delicious lunch and some really yummy snacks Matt made himself! Alex was a wealth of local knowledge ! In my opinion this is the best way to experience Haleakala!

Best Bike Tour on Maui! - Matt and Kyle were excellent, can't recommend Maui Bombers highly enough! You won't be disappointed with a terrific biking tour that includes some local stops, amazing refreshments and the incredible beauty of Maui. If you've been to Maui before and done a bike tour that included the Haleakala sunrise, like we have, you've likely been disappointed and froze your keister off only to see clouds, and a long ride down. Matt has solved this with his tour, which doesn't require a 3am alarm to drive hours at dark o'thirty or freeze at the summit. Instead, the tour has all of the best of a ride down Haleakala, without the disappointments. Highly recommend!

A fantastic way to spend the day! - What an awesome activity with our boys (12 and 9)!!! Matt, Kyle, and Eric were fantastic - they were well organized, friendly, and fun! Our boys had a blast flying down the volcano, and we loved stopping in the small Hawaiian towns. Our 9 year old said, “This was the best day. Definitely worth getting up for!” Can’t beat that!

My experience biking down Haleakala was absolutely amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Matt. He was not only kind and funny but also incredibly helpful throughout the entire trip. The breathtaking views from Haleakala were matched only by the delicious treats he provided, including the best coconut muffins and Liliko‘i bars I've ever tasted. It was the perfect way to recharge during our ride. I highly recommend Maui Bombers to anyone seeking an adventure that combines stunning scenery, a fun biking experience, and exceptional hospitality. You won't be disappointed!

Smiled The Whole Time ! - I rarely take the time to write reviews BUT this outfit absolutely blew other doors off of all expectations. Had a large group of friends go with a much more popular and larger tour group. And we decided the getting up at 2 am and wearing motorcycles helmets wasn’t us. We asked the local staff and the local uber drivers for advice and Bombers came up more than once. Best decision we made so far on Maui. My wife and I are in our 60’s. BUT we still ski and roll with our 30 year old kids when we bike jet ski etc. We ride bikes at home and appreciate the quality of the gear, bikes and helmets that made sense and let us enjoy the view and gave us confidence in BOMBING down the mountain. Eric and Dave. Local local dudes that are living there dream and love what they do. It shows. RECOMEND 10 out of 10. If you don’t have a good time and smile the whole time with these guys then you’re probably never going to!!

🚨 BEST DOWNHILL BIKING COMPANY IN MAUI - This HAS TO be the best downhill biking company in Maui. Matt was awesome. He was communicative, flexible, and incredibly hospitable (he even made homemade muffins and passion fruit bars for us). The shuttles were clean, bikes were well maintained, and it was the most affordable company we found. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you, Matt & Kyle!

Cyclists beware - My husband and I did the self guided bike ride on February 2, 2025. Just a short way into the ride, my husband had a catastrophic fall, broke multiple ribs and clavicle and was knocked unconscious. He ended up in the ICU. We had to stay in Maui for an extra 2 1/2 weeks due to his injuries, and now, back on the mainland, he is currently undergoing major surgeries to repair multiple fractures. We attribute the fall at least partly to front brakes on the bike, which we had noted, and stated, were very worn down and did not seem to be working properly. We are very experienced cyclists, and this was not a high speed fall, but slow and controlled. Be careful on this ride and make sure the bikes are in top condition.
