Ho’okipa Beach Park - Hoʻokipa offers great waves year-round and is a favorite spot for advanced surfers and windsurfers. In winter, waves can reach up to 30 feet, suitable only for the most experienced surfers. The beach also has a protected area for honu (sea turtles), where many come ashore to sleep at night. Ho’okipa Lookout provides a good view of northwest Maui and the Pacific Ocean, offering an excellent vantage point to watch surfers and windsurfers below.

Wai’anapanapa State Park - This remote, wild, volcanic coastline offers solitude and a break from urban life. The park provides lodging, camping, picnicking, shore fishing, and family hiking along an ancient Hawaiian coastal trail leading to Hana. It’s an excellent spot to view a seabird colony and a natural stone arch. Other features include a native hala forest, heiau (religious temple), sea stacks, blowholes, and a small black sand beach.

Hana - After 52 miles of winding roads on the Hana Highway, also known as the ‘Road To Hana,’ you will arrive in Hana Town! Hana spans 4,500 acres and was once owned by the Unna Brothers, who raised sugar cane in the 1800s. In 1935, Paul Fagan purchased the area and began cattle farming. Today, Hana is owned by a group of local and mainland investors. This quaint town offers a peaceful retreat for Maui visitors looking to escape the hustle and bustle. In Hana, you can dine at one of the three local restaurants, shop in small stores, and chat with the locals.
