A Memorable time at the Gilligan's Island Luau - I have attended many luaus on Maui over a 30 year period and the Gillingan's Island experience was right up there with the best. Firstly we loved the fact that the small outdoor setting of the Kihei Maui Nui Golf Course offered a more personal touch than the luaus at the big hotels. The food was exceptional and we had our own personal server at our table of 8. We chose the premium seating and felt it was well worth the extra money. We thoroughly enjoyed the high energy show which depicted the history of Hawaii through hula dances representing the different polynesian cultures. The dancers were talented performers and the colourful costume changes didn't disappoint. The band members were all excellent musicians and we especially liked the drummer who kept everything in time. The show ended with a flare as an amazing fire dancer wowed the crowd. My boyfriend and I would defnitely recommend the Gilligan's Island luau to anyone wanting an authentic Maui experience.

Great time at Gilligan's Luau! - We had a wonderful time at the luau. The performers were great, there was plenty of delicious food and our server took very good care of our table. In addition, we had a great table with a fun group of people which made the experience even better. Great job Gilligan's! Nick and Marianne

Don't let price fool you. It's a great show. - This luau was as good, or better than any luau that we have been to on Maui. The entertainers told us the story of all the Polynesians landing in Hawaii. The only 2 things that would make this show even better would be switching sides for the stage to have the beautiful Maui Sunset as a backdrop and to have the fantastic entertainers available in the lobby to wish us Aloha as we leave. This is a show we will return to see on future trips.

A very enjoyable evening! - We enjoyed our evening at Gilligan’s Hawaiian Luau. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Food and drinks were ok, but the highlight of the evening was an amazing cultural performance of music and dance. We loved the presenter informing us of the islands’ history with accompanying music and traditional dancing. The musicians were great and the dancers were all very expressive, talented and artistic and the fire dancer was amazing. Last but not least Gilligan’s Luau was great value for money! Thank you!

First luau - Brilliant show, food was good and plenty of it. Service great. Needs to have stage area higher so seats at the back have a better view.

Not worth it - I want to start by saying the staff is great. Super friendly and attentive. Food and location of the event was unfortunately not. Event is held on the patio at the (beautiful) golf course. I have read that they plan to use a stage on the patio in the near future however that is not the case yet. Gazebos all over the patio leave pillars blocking peoples view of the dancers. Dancers are dancing directly in front of tables and you can only see the top half of them. Table lay out is also poor having people facing all different directions. I would not recommend this luau. Even once the dancers get to use a stage I don’t believe it will solve the problem and the food was definitely not worth it. I am so sorry to the business for writing a poor review however I feel like we wasted a lot of money to attend this and not feel like we attended a luau.

Save your money - Horrible costumes, fake flowers, leis, crowns etc. then they tried to charge extra for a fresh lei after we already paid over $700 for 3 people and one child. Ridiculous! I miss the old Hawai’i hospitality and attention to detail. Worst laua experience ever. The musicians were excellent though.
