Since 1978, our team has been proudly navigating the waters of Maui, offering guests thrilling snorkeling adventures, romantic sunset cruises, and a variety of other experiences. Our vessel is among the widest and most stable on the island, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for all. We offer top-notch equipment, food, beverages, and exceptional customer service.
A snorkeling demonstration is available for individuals of all experience levels. The cost of your charter includes all snorkeling and flotation gear, such as premium silicone masks, snorkels, fins, boogie boards, flotation belts, water noodles, wetsuit tops, optical masks, and large terry beach towels. After enjoying snorkeling, guests can refresh with a “rinse-off” shower using one of our four heated freshwater showers.
- In order to access the vessel, you will need to walk down a pier and step across a gap onto the deck. Crew will be able to assist with the gap.
- Restrooms are accessible via steps down into the cabin and ladder into the restrooms.

Check in location is Slip #56 at Ma'alaea Harbor on Oceanside Pier. Ali'i Nui Sailing Charters. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for the check-in process.

Ali’i Kai. Snorkel & Sail on Maui - We had a great experience with weather, sailing, food, snorkeling , and crew.
This is an early morning sail to the Molokini crater.
The staff was above exceptional in friendliness, professionalism and warm Aloha hospitality.
Captain Bree (Bri ?) was wonderful. She is a total professional and greeted each and every passenger at the dock with a warm and genuine welcome. She has a way of doing her job, and at the same time she is spending time with the guests and sharing her boat and island with us
Breakfast was served immediately and had wonderful choices including some of the best banana bread on the islands.
We were soon underway and saw dozens and dozens of whales as we sailed to Molokini. Amazing sightings!
We snorkeled at Molokini for at least an hour. Conditions were excellent and the Captain picked a great spot at the edge of a reef.
The sail back meant dozens of whale sightings and breaching and a lunch that was just as good as breakfast. Open bar the entire time with plenty of soft drinks and juice offerings in addition to mimosas and beer, wine, liquors.
The ship has a photographic professional on board (yay, Chloe) and she caught wonderful pics on board and in and under water that were available to download for a small fee.
Towels are provided along with all the snorkel gear
The staff made rounds constantly checking if we needed or wanted anything. Amazing!
Come for the snorkeling. Be wowed and amazed at the food, boat (it’s beautiful!), whales, and most of all a crew that works in harmony, spends time with the guests, and obviously love working with their Captain

Fabulous day on a boat - Snorkeling at Molokini is some of the best that you will experience. The Clearwater and radio fish are unmatched. The Alii nui folks are also top-notch. The boat and service were exemplary. We saw it all- fish, turtles and whales. Highlight was to hear the whale songs while snorkeling!

SERVICE AND WATER SAFETY TOP THIS SAILING TOUR CREW! - One of the best catamaran sails we’ve been on: on-time shuttle pickup at our hotel, friendly check-in at harbor, extremely friendly crew, yummy breakfast and lunch. Plentiful alcohol/bar and a staff that made you want for nothing the entire sail. (They even offer to clean off your sunglasses…that was a first for me!) Due to weather conditions we couldn’t snorkel at Molokini, but the captain found a different spot that was calm and clear. We saw turtles and lots — I mean LOTS! — of humpback whales during their mating and birthing season. Some came right up to the boat, which was a thrill. Crew member Nick obviously knew a lot about the marine life which we appreciated. During snorkeling two crew members sat on surfboards and watched out for us in the water….attention to safety is EXCELLENT. (If you’ve never snorkled before they patiently teach you.) Highly recommend this trip and operator. Thanks for a great time!

All that…and more! - When you go with the top rated agency for a snorkeling trip, you expect top rated service. What we received was beyond top rated. There were multiple captains on board, yet all were busy serving the clients ensuring we had a wonderful time. No single person was too important for any job that needed to be done on the boat.
And speaking of the boat, what a dream Craft. It has only been an operation for about five months, but just an outstanding boat. It may struggle with higher winds and waves, but you wouldn’t know it on our trip. We had almost glass like water on the return trip.
And the snorkeling? Outstanding. The captain has a great spot for us to see a lot of animal activity, and we even had time to go visit the drop off. That is where Molokini goes from 20 or 30 feet to 300 straight down. It was awesome!. And then on the way back, we saw so many whales! It was almost like we are dodging them constantly to get back to the harbor.
The food and beverages were outstanding, there are many towels for all the guests, and if anyone needed a hand while snorkeling, there were more than enough staff in the water to care for every need.
Would absolutely do again

Luxury, special touches, high attention to detail, patient, Johanna is amazing! Cannot say enough positive things! - By far the best experience we have ever had on any charter. The Captain and her team were absolutely magnificent. The special touches were top notch and the food was delectable. The attention to detail and the photographer were really great. We had ages ranging from 2 years and up in our party. We went on the Deluxe snorkel and the experience far exceeded our expectations! The crew was patient and informative. They helped me feel comfortable (it was my first time, and I was a little uneasy about it). They were clear and concise with the instructions and safety was of the utmost importance. Everyone had a really great time, and we highly recommend going on this charter!

Wonderful snorkeling excursion! - This was excellent. Catamaran was wonderful, crew were wonderful, Captain Bree was excellent. It might seem expensive but you get what you pay for, and this excursion was excellent.

Best excursion of our Hawaiian vacation - This was worth every penny we spent on this excellent excursion! It was an absolute investment with huge reward for my entire family to pick this as their favorite activity of our 8 day vacation!
We have 3 kids, 16, 14, 9. They all loved it. I was impressed by the delicious breakfast, lunch and beverages and snacks offered throughout the morning. The food was hot and seemed never ending- plenty of it, even if you were the last in line (my hubs).
We saw spinner dolphins, whales, amazing fish & coral, and so many turtles! Someone on the boat saw a shark (not sure if I’m happy or sad I missed that).
The photographer on the boat took amazing photos that captured the day and family fun. Captain Josh was charismatic and knowledgeable. The entire crew was fabulous and put safety first, next the comfort of everyone and of course had fun. On our 1st stop at the crater, my 9 year old had a bit of panic about his mask, one of the team members was right there on their surf board for him to hold onto and started talking to him about baseball and the Red Sox and my son called down as he helped put his mask on him properly and resized it without my son knowing.
Don’t think twice- book this excursion and enjoy!!

Fantastic experience! Totally worth it! - We paid a tiny bit extra to get picked up at our hotel, so we didn't have to deal with finding the boat at the dock. The crew were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, especially for me, a not-so-confident swimmer. They made sure that I had whatever additional floaties I needed to feel comfortable with my face in the water. Of course, they kept tabs with all the more experienced snorkelers.
They fed us breakfast while we headed to Molokini.
At Molokini we saw a variety of tropical fish, and the setting is gorgeous.
Then they fed us again, on the way to the sea turtle spot.
The sea turtles seemed so used to having people around; as long as you don't rush towards them, they just do their thing. And they are adorable!
We saw whales on the way to Molokini, and again on the way back to dock.
On top of everything else, they even provided reef-safe sunscreen, in case anyone forgot it.
My wife, son, and I were beyond satisfied with what we got for what we paid, and the whole experience was awesome!
