Great snorkeling experience - I had such a great time! Paul has been a fantastic guide throughout the experience, very patient and caring always making sure we were all comfortable. He really enjoys sharing what he knows and sees under water and he even took pictures of us and what we saw and sent them to us. I would definitely do the snorkeling tour with him again and I couldn’t recommend it more!!

The perfect Maui adventure! - My husband and I booked this tour for our honeymoon and we had a great time! Paul is very knowledgeable and friendly! He showed us beautiful spots. We saw sea turtles and different species of fish and coral which he identified for us and shared fascinating info. He taught us a lot about local species conservation and we highly recommend booking a tour with him. A special bonus…our meeting spot happened to be the selected sun bathing spot for an endangered monk seal.

Off the beaten path.. - Awesome experience with Paul. Learnt so much and kept us comfortable in the water when we were apprehensive on venturing into deep waters. Mother reef views, so many brilliant fish and seeing turtles were definitely the highlight. Definitely recommend as an off the beaten path! No crowds, except for kayakers.

Fantastic tour through the coral reefs! - Paul did an amazing job with a group of us that all had different needs and accommodations needed. It was an amazing snorkeling trip, and he started off the trip making sure that everyone had their masks on properly, and gave each of us a minute of personal attention on the mask, making sure we had defogging liquid swished around, to make sure we had a good experience. We spent some time talking about how to clear our googles and our snorkels if water were to get inside, and I have to say, that even though I've gone snorkeling several times before, this was probably my very best experience, and a lot of that was due to Paul, making sure we had the right equipment and were briefed on how to put it on properly! We saw so many colorful fish, the visibility was great, and Paul took us all the way out to catch a sighting of two green sea turtles! The swim was long, so my recommendation would be to join this tour only if you feel you are in shape to swim in the ocean, which is different from swimming in a pool. That said, Paul had flotation devices for all of us, so we could swim when we wanted to, but also, so that we could float and hear about the different fish and species in the coral reefs when we wanted to (without having to tread water for an hour and a half!). It was like being in a live aquarium! It was so clear, and seeing the different fish up close and in their natural habitat was spectacular. Paul was a fantastic guide and got great photos of each of us!

Wonderful experience with the turtles - Paul, our guide, is a marine biologist working for the Maui aquarium. His knowledge of the local waters and its marine life was incredible. He guided our group about 400 yards off shore through some of the most beautiful coral reefs. He stopped to point out the variety of fish and other sea life along the way. Our adventure culminated in watching a group of sea turtles swim and relax around us. Paul pointed out several fish that interact with the turtles in a symbiotic manner. Paul paced everything in a manner that was comfortable for us novice swimmers. He did a great job. Highly recommend this trip.

Yes! Sign up! - We have been island hopping and this was the best snorkeling guide/tour we experienced. We've done the sharks and the manta rays. Unlike other tours we have done, we geared up at the beach and moonwalked right into the water. This gave us more than an hour of swim time. Having such a knowledgeable person as our guide meant we actually got to learn about what we were seeing, their names, some history, and important conservation efforts. We even got to visit a turtle cleaning station. The conditions were so perfect; the water was crystal clear, the current wasn't super strong, and the water wasn't choppy. Paul (our guide) was very communicative and accurate. Not only did he allow us to take our own pictures/videos, he captured pictures of us AND of what we saw. He checked in regularly and also gave us several stopping points so we weren't overly tired. The flotation belts were also convenient. Even when they didn't fit one of our parties around the middle, he simply wore it like a cross-body bag and maintained his hands free. We also greatly appreciated the tips about snorkel gear. Thank you for such an amazing time. My kid and her father have never been before and this is exactly what I was hoping for. My kid is also interested in being a marine biologist. You certainly helped continue to build her interest and devotion to oceanic care.

Was nervous, but… - This was our first time snorkeling. My biggest fear is the ocean. We were both nervous swimming in the ocean but eager to observe the beauty the ocean has to offer. Paul did a great job of calming our nerves and was very competent by explaining the marine life. He also made sure we were okay. He took great pictures and they are lifelong momentous. It was nice knowing he works at the aquarium. We saw lots of turtles!!!
