Yes! Sign up! - We have been island hopping and this was the best snorkeling guide/tour we experienced. We've done the sharks and the manta rays. Unlike other tours we have done, we geared up at the beach and moonwalked right into the water. This gave us more than an hour of swim time. Having such a knowledgeable person as our guide meant we actually got to learn about what we were seeing, their names, some history, and important conservation efforts. We even got to visit a turtle cleaning station. The conditions were so perfect; the water was crystal clear, the current wasn't super strong, and the water wasn't choppy. Paul (our guide) was very communicative and accurate. Not only did he allow us to take our own pictures/videos, he captured pictures of us AND of what we saw. He checked in regularly and also gave us several stopping points so we weren't overly tired. The flotation belts were also convenient. Even when they didn't fit one of our parties around the middle, he simply wore it like a cross-body bag and maintained his hands free. We also greatly appreciated the tips about snorkel gear. Thank you for such an amazing time. My kid and her father have never been before and this is exactly what I was hoping for. My kid is also interested in being a marine biologist. You certainly helped continue to build her interest and devotion to oceanic care.

Was nervous, but… - This was our first time snorkeling. My biggest fear is the ocean. We were both nervous swimming in the ocean but eager to observe the beauty the ocean has to offer. Paul did a great job of calming our nerves and was very competent by explaining the marine life. He also made sure we were okay. He took great pictures and they are lifelong momentous. It was nice knowing he works at the aquarium. We saw lots of turtles!!!

Turtles galore - It was my eleven year old's first time snorkeling in open waters and this trip did not disappoint!! Paul helped our whole family feel very comfortable in the waters while successfully guiding us to find 10-15 sea turtles. He gave us interesting facts about the coral reefs and fish. Additionally he took a couple of photos for us at the end which was a plus. My tip would be to take advantage of his equipment (flotation boards) if you are not too comfortable in the open waters. This marine biologist took us out for an adventure and it was the highlight of our trip.

Highly recommend! - We had such a great time snorkeling on this excursion! Paul was a great guide with tons of information and educating us along the way. It was so nice to be in a small group but the snorkeling itself was excellent! We were up close and personal with tons of sea turtles and other fish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Highly recommend!!

Awesome time - Paul was an awesome tour guide. And was able to capture greats photos for us. This was our first time snorkeling and it was amazing. Being able to see the reef and turtles so up close.

A knowledgable and kind guide, a beautiful reef, turtles galore, and even a giant eel - what an amazing experience! - Paul took my husband and me along with our two sons (7 and 10) and two others out on a breathtaking and very enjoyable snorkel tour of the beautiful reef at Olowalu. He knew just where to go so that we had an easy swim along a "sandy path" through the reef to the turtle cleaning "station" and made sure we avoided any shallow coral reef areas. We saw so many fish along the way and even a beautiful giant eel as well as of course many turtles once we reached our destination. He came prepared with gear, flotation, and an underwater camera for photos and he even pulled our 7-year old on the way in and out to help keep him from getting too tired. We felt very safe and taken care of, learned a lot, and truly enjoyed ourselves - there has already been much talk about planning to take the tour with Paul again on our next trip to Maui! Thank you Paul!!

Awesome experience! - Paul was fantastic! We had a wonderful time snorkeling with him, he was very knowledgeable and it was great learning more about the ocean from him! Would highly recommend!

Great Snorkeling Tour. - Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to see a variety of fish and some turtles at the reef. Also the coral was spawning when we were at the reef. It was the perfect amount of time. My grandson and I enjoyed the snorkeling very much and it was nice not to have to go out on a boat to see a reef.

Definitely Recommended - Paul was our guide and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we understood what we were viewing. It was a great spot and the pictures he took are included in the price of the ticket! The tour left from the shore rather than a boat, which I thought was pretty cool.

Family Friendly - Our children were able to enjoy exploring and learning about coral, fish, and turtles of that particular reef.
