Worth every penny! - We had such an awesome experience with our guide Javier! He was very fun and knowledgable about everything, especially the whales we were lucky enough to see at a close (and appropriate) distance!! He also took some great quality photos and videos of the whales and turtles we saw, as well as some great shots of us that we will be able to keep forever. Highly recommend!!

Must do!! Get happy with Shappy! - A friend of mine highly recommended us to do kayaking and snorkeling with Shappy and we are SO SO happy we did! It was definitely a major highlight of our Maui trip! My mom is a little on the hesitant side but his gentle coaching and encouragement amazingly helped her be willing to get in and out of her kayak mid-ocean so we could swim with beautiful sea turtles and fish and paddle pretty far out to be amongst whales! It was so much fun!!! Shappy’s personality is very friendly, easy going, and inviting. He knows so much about whales (apparently except for what their poop is called lol my fiancé stumped him with that question). Very affordable pricing and epic photography!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Amazing whale kayaking - John did a wonderful job guiding us to see whales on kayak and snorkel. We were fortune to see a mom and her calf and a singing male. John took many amazing photos and videos of the singing male. The sea was very calm and kayaking was a great workout. It was a fantastic experience!

One of our best Maui experiences - Mother Nature gave us calm water. Our super friendly guide Javier gave us a whale show. We were encircled by a whale pod of mother, baby and males. For a bit of time, we saw whales in every direction and heard their “chatter” underwater while snorkeling. It’s amazing to see the biggest species of the animal kingdom.

Amazing whale watching and snorkeling with sea turtles - John was such an amazing tour guide! We got to see so many whales and one even breeched right in front of us. He was full of knowledge on the sea life and island. This was the highlight of our trip! Not only did we get to see so many whales, but we also got to snorkel with sea turtles! Maui kayaks whale watching and snorkeling is a MUST do on your trip!

Best experience on Maui - Hands down a top guided experience of our 9 days in Maui. Our family of 5 were first timers to the island and took in the Haleakalā sunrise, surfing lessons, whale watching, waterfalls, north shore surf spectating, luaus, etc. during our visit and our 3 hours on the water with guide John was the top pick for favorite things we did while in Maui. John is a pro and incredibly knowledgeable about the islands, waters and sea life we were fortunate enough to explore together.
His photos and videos were a huge plus and he spent a lot of effort to get high quality pics of every individual in our group. John has probably guided thousands of trips, but he made us feel like we were somehow special - which is an amazing quality for someone in a service profession.
Thank you John and Maui Kayaks for a great experience that my wife and kids are still talking about.

Great kayaking and snorkeling trip - We had an amazing time with Andreas. I've never met a tour guide, quite as entertaining as he was. He took us around, always made sure we were having fun, but also made sure we were safe as well. Toward the end, he wanted us to hurry up and get in when the winds started picking up. He showed us where the best snorkeling spots were, as well as some big turtles. His enthusiasm and caring were amazing. We couldn't have had a better time!

Must Do! - Kayaking with whales and swimming with sea turtles was the highlight of our Maui vacation! Andres our guide was truly a gem. He was excited to spend the morning with us and share his knowledge of Maui, whales, sea turtles and more. He kept us laughing and entertained the whole time. Andres checked in with us frequently to make sure we were all doing well and were comfortable on the water. I would recommend Andres and this tour to everyone!

We Saw Whales!! - Highly recommend! We were lucky enough to see several whales playing and breaching. Incredible! We also saw many turtles while snorkeling. Our guide, Andres, took tons of pictures and videos and was very knowledgeable about where to go. We felt like we were in great hands. We had an amazing adventure and will definitely do this again!

Whales, Whales and More Whales - Wow! What a great experience!! Numerous whales, including a baby. Turtles are almost a given and we weren't disappointed. Special thanks to our guide, John, who was perfect for our family (4 in total including two young adults). This was easy to book, and meeting up with John was just as seamless. If you're in Maui, this is probably the best deal we've experienced after numerous trips to the island. No crowds. Personal service. Highly experienced, personable and skilled guide. Very reasonable price tag. Highly, highly recommended!
