Come join us for a night snorkel where a plethora of unique marine life comes to life during the night hours. Safety always being our top priority, we will only go in small groups of 6 or less and each snorkeler will be fully fitted with high end dive lights, life preserver, high end masks, light beaker, and all other equipment needed for this. Other than the sun being down what makes this experience so special is the array of totally unique marine life that comes out to play after sunset, including lobsters, octopus, and night time critters that love to say hi. The snorkel is extremely safe for ages 16+. Please note, you must be able to swim in order to do this activity!
The tour consists of different warm hue lights our guide will adjust during the tour to attract turtles, rays, and more. Again, each of you will have a dive light, a red colored beaker attached to you for further safety precautions, and our guide will have one \

Beautiful evening excursion! Great guide, experience and pictures! - The experience was super fun! Sunset was gorgeous as we snorkeled! We saw turtles and a shark and Robbie gathered some pencil urchins and pincushion starfish for us to hold! As mentioned in another review….we started a bit before sunset and got out as it was dark - but it was actually perfect!! We also did this experience 2 years ago (and loved it) and it was darker - but the lights attracted jellyfish. I think starting a little earlier was perfect! We saw more and thoroughly enjoyed watching the turtles come up for air with a stunning sunset! Robbie was an awesome guide - he totally followed the shark for us getting a cool video!! Pics were awesome!! Highly recommend!!!

It was a pleasure - Only two of us on the day we did the night snorkeling, it felt like a private snorkeling lesson/experience.
The night tour started about 60 mins before sunset, and ended(back to shore) when the last light out with stars up in the sky. The swim level is ok, but definitely you need to know swiming to get to the spot.
Robbie was our local guide. It's a great fun watching him to dive down and pick up urchins from the deep sea floor.
Since we are the only party in the water. Everything so quiet and active. We saw 3 turtle, lots of fish(big Trumpetfish and blue jack schools was very cool).
We also had couple informative discussios regarding gear and location on the way back. We had some great DIY trip the next couple days.

So many turtles! - Really fun trip, Robbie was chill and awesome and made sure everyone was able to see all the cool creatures. This is definitely a tour for folks who are a little more comfortable with swimming and snorkeling, but it was very easy for someone who has done this before.

Saw the whole thing, dude. First you were all like 'whoa', and we were like 'whoa', and you were like WHOOOOOOAAAAAA!! - Robbie was our guide. Super chill, and showed us all the cool creatures! Made sure we knew turtle locations! Lots of turtle activity. Had a cool group that added to the experience! Gorgeous location, tiny beach with beautiful views. Out in the water we were free to explore, but still felt super safe. So grateful!
Expect to enter the water in full light, and exit as it’s dark. Expect a decent swim to the caves. Expect waves (it’s the ocean after all!) Expect the group to explore, so you will be on your own a little! Expect that the guides will make sure you’re all good!
Loved this trip! Beats the mass produced and large crowd snorkels by a mile!!

Great snorkel trip in Makena - Robbie, our guide was very informative and patient- especially with a couple of teen snorkelers that were clearly novices. Had a great time watching the turtles and swam out about a 1/4 mile to snorkel above some caves where the turtles go to sleep. We saw a different species of starfish, lots of fish and turtles and even a sea snake. Highly recommend Zephyr and Robbie too! Special bonus were the videos and photos he took. Well worth the additional price with absolute no pressure to buy after. We were so happy to purchase them to share with our family.

Night Snorkeling with Robbie - Robbie was awesome snorkeling guide. We saw turtles and shark by the sea cave, also got to hold star fish and pet a octopus which he dived and got us to see up close. It was a great experience

Great unique experience! - Amazing experience doing the night snorkel! Very small group of 3 for our venture. Robbie did a great job of prepping us with our gear and knowing what to expect from the trip before we went out. Once in the water we were handed sea urchins and starfish Robbie dove down to get. Real star of the experience were the sea turtles. We stayed for a while by an underwater cave and over the course of about half an hour we had about 10 turtles come out. Definitely recommend, especially the night snorkel for more turtle activity and so far the highlight of our trip!

Night Time in Turtle Town - This was a fun adventure on our recent trip to Maui! Robbie was extremely patient and knowledgeable of the area where we snorkeled. Even though the winds and surf was up, it was still enjoyable and saw lots of sea life, especially one turtle who seemed to follow us no matter where we snorkeled!! Would highly recommend this adventure and most likely to do this adventure again on our next trip to Maui!! The photos were excellent and made our trip more enjoyable as we can see the time we spent with our turtle buddy!!

Didn't got the Cancellation-Update - I can't tell my opinion on the tour because it was cancelled. My review is just about the Cancellation itself.
So the tour was cancelled because of high surf. I was there early on time, around 6:10pm. I waited and waited but nobody came and so I searched for some contact of them. Just imagine it was DARK and I was all alone, as a young woman that is scary sometimes.
Found a number on the ticket and texted them via WhatsApp.
They answered me on WhatsApp really quick btw.
They said they couldn't reach me under the given number and they tried to call and text several times.
BUT: Even if the number didn't worked out or maybe I gave them a wrong one, why didn't they just send me an email or something? It was really really bad for my day and my trip because I lost precious time and also gas for the drive.
They offered me a reschedule or a refund but sadly I'm not longer in maui so I took the refund.
That took half a day of my vacation here, I could've spend on other stuff.
Was a bad experience sadly.
