Additional Information
Maui Mountain Activities provides the opportunity to explore the West Maui Mountains on horseback. The journey takes you to view distant seasonal waterfalls before descending to the coastline for a ride next to the Pacific Ocean. Marvel at the serenity of Maui’s indigenous rainforests and the majesty of its oceans. If weather conditions allow, there’s a specific spot where you’re free to let your horse run. Along the tour, guides will capture your moments with your camera. The excursion also includes a visit to the petting zoo featuring animals such as mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. The entirety of this adventure lasts for 2 hours and includes complimentary soft drinks.
- Long pants, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, and a camera are recommended
- Minimum age of 7yrs
- Weight limit of 215lbs (97.72kg) Strictly Enforced
- ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 10 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.

There will be a big yellow "Maui Mountain Activities Parking" sign on the left side of the road. The guide will arrive at 8am. Once all the guests arrive for the 8:15am check-in, the guide will lead all vehicles up to the ranch where the horses are located.

Awesome experience - My family and I had an Awesome experience. Everyone was so friendly and experienced. The guides took time to answer all of our questions and concerns. The horses were great. I would definitely Recommend WEST Maui mountain Waterfall and ocean tour horseback riding.

Amazing! - Amazing! The two tour guide girls were amazing. Answering all our questions, taking pictures, assisting in every way. Also first time I have got to run with a horse full speed, that was the best part. Views were immaculate as well. One of the coolest excursions we have done.

Loved it! - My 14-year-old son and I did this tour and it was amazing. The staff was very thorough, friendly knowledgeable And the animals were well cared for. You certainly couldn’t beat the views. Highly recommend

Awesome time as a newlywed! - The guides were personable and helpful during the tour. The scenery was beautiful and the horses full of personality. 10/10 would recommend! My husband and I had an amazing time!

Amazing experience - Amazing experience!! Instructors accommodate everyone's level and they take private photos of each group, it's a long beautiful trail. You can tell the horses are treated very well, they're very happy:) Would definitely go again:)

Best Horseback Experience Ever! - My daughter loves to do horseback tours on every vacation. This was by far the best out of anywhere. The views were amazing with a combination of mountains with waterfalls, all the way back down to sea level with ocean views. The guides were very knowledgeable locals that knew a lot about the different types of plants, trees, and history of the area. We’ll definitely be back to Maui and will go horseback riding with Maui Mountain Activities.

Um YES! - Gorgeous views, sweet horses, amazing tour guides who are very attentive! Seriously yall worth every penny! Your ride is very thorough and the horses are picked on how much you’ve ridden before. Some will basically do all the work for you, all levels can do this!

A Fantastic Ride! - It was totally worth it! To get there, be aware that you will have to do some slightly windy driving. We booked the horse rides, and in addition to horses, we saw so many animals, including friendly cats, beautiful peacocks, and several other farm animals. We were watched matched with a horse before heading out. Be aware that this experience is fairly long, and you will have to go uphill and downhill on the horses. I did not wear sunscreen, by accident, but because of the length of the experience, I would recommend it. I rode Gold the horse in the back, who was very chill and gentle. We rode to spots that had unbelievable and unforgettable views! It really makes the ride worth it. Everyone who worked there also was a positive. Towards the end, you have the option to gallop on the horses, which is physically a lot if you have never done it, but I would say it was fun. Overall, I loved this experience!

Family did enjoy it as their first rides for most - Staff was very good, our length of time seemed locked up by prep for the ride. Sad we were not on the shoreline - thought we would be, waterfalls were only visible from one spot
