Small group snorkel trip not to miss! - This was such a delightful and educational experience! So much to see! Shasta was attentive and showed us all the amazing sea creatures! And being in a smaller party meant that we could ask questions and see more! Don’t miss this trip! And the food was perfect .. healthy and tasty!

Awesome experience, the... - Awesome experience, the crew was very friendly and super helpful, as we were first-time snorkelers! We were even lucky enough to see some whales! Definitely recommend!

You have to do this! - We agree with ALL the 5 star reviews: excellence in every way! Our trip started off with a whale family right in front of our eyes. Shasta shared many interesting stories about the mom and child whale and their habitat. I was nervous about the snorkeling and Derek assisted w adjusting my mask so it didn’t leak. They said they would help us in any way, and believe them! Boat clean and smelled good. The ladders make for an easy off and on. Snacks & lunch healthy and tasty, even taking note of dietary preferences. We also had a dolphin show. Small group size (about 20 people) & location/time are desirable if you’re in the Napili-Kapalua area because you don’t have to get up so early. Highly recommend.

Snorkeling with turtles - Totally awesome. Saw lots of whales & turtles. Shasta & Ritch were the BEST. Provide plenty fruit, bread & drinks. And Sunscreen by the gallon

Great small boat snorkeling tour - Perfect morning and day on the boat. 4.5 hour snorkel and whale watching. Shasta and crew were great. Boat is the perfect size for our family. Only 20 people on board. We saw a bunch of whales and went to two snorkel spots, saw turtles l, fish, eels, a small reef shark. They had all the gear you would need. Great tour that left right from whalers village.

Wonderful! - This was a terrific tour! I saw fish, many turtles, some eels, small sharks that stay near the bottom (not in any way dangerous to people), and many, many whales. I wasn’t expecting whale watching to be a part of this snorkeling trip, but given the season, there were plenty to see, and they were super active. As as it turns out, this group also does whale watching tours so they had lots of information to share about whales as well. This is a small tour operator and they took care of us very well. Lots of explanations of what we were seeing, and our guide dove to the bottom many times to find things that she could show us at the surface. There were lots of snacks and plenty of drinks, which was great since it’s easy to get dehydrated while snorkeling. I saw that they had a “bucket“ viewing option for people who were not comfortable with snorkel masks. This tour is highly recommended!

great company and crew! amazing time - one of best snorkeling trips i have done in maui. crew was amazing! they were accommodating to everyone and shasta was extremely knowledgeable about all the fish and whales . the food was excellent and the boat was very comfortable. this is a smaller boat and operation and i think this leads to a more personable and enjoyable experience . we will be coming back!

Highly recommended - This was our first snorkeling experience and we couldn't have asked for a better crew than Shasta, Makayah and Derek. They were not only very good instructors but amazing people to connect with.
We took our 9 month old baby on board with us and took turns snorkeling. It worked out very well for us. The crew took great care of us and made sure we were always comfortable and got everything we needed. We were non-swimmers and got 1-1 help and detailed instructions from the crew when in water. They were flexible and based on the suggestions of folks on board took us whale watching when we spotted some whales deep in the ocean. They were also kind to accommodate our dietary restrictions for the food they provide on board. Overall, we highly recommend Magic Merman and will definitely snorkel with them again!

The Magic Merman Delivers! - I can't say enough about this amazing experience. We were fortunate enough to have only 6 people booked on our particular trip, so it truly felt like a private snorkeling and whale watching tour! Captain Ben and guide Shasta were so friendly and knowledgeable. They really went above and beyond to make all the tour participants feel comfortable and have a wonderful time. We saw multiple whales and even a monk seal from inside the boat. In the water, Shasta guided us to the best spots where we saw so many turtles, sharks and even an octopus. Shasta was gracious in
teaching us all about the marine life and their protection. The snacks and lunch were tasty and they offered soft drinks and water on the regular. The experience was very personal and my husband, two young adult daughters and I all feel that it has been the highlight of our trip to Maui.

Very fun and safe experience, highly recommended - My partner and I had a great experience snorkeling with the Magic Merman. The crew are very friendly, and most importantly, they are knowledgeable and experienced. They knew each snorkeling spots well and shared a good amount of interesting facts about the places and animals living there. They also provided many good tips for snorkeling techniques and always kept their eyes on everyone in the group, which made me feel very comfortable and safe (since I am not a good swimmer). I will definitely join them again if I decide to do another tour.
