With over 25 years of experience in boating and whale watching on Maui, our captains and crew ensure a personal and engaging experience, answering all your whale-related questions. As a family-owned and operated business, the boat is equipped with a hydrophone to listen to whales underwater.
The owners, captains, and crew are survivors of the Lahaina Fire and are thrilled to have your support as they return to the water.
- Guests can be dropped off while the driver finds parking. The Maui Bus stop is an 8-10 min walk.

Mala Boat ramp. Look for the Jesus Coming Soon sign on Front St and head toward the water after you've parked. (Please do not park in a boat/trailer spot or you'll be towed.)

Best whale watch ride ever! - It is an amazing whale watch tour! We have been coming to Maui for years to see the whales, and we've never had a whale watch like this one. We saw the whales very closely, and it was a fantastic fun day. Thank you for a great experience! The boat is well-equipped and very comfortable. (Tip: the water can get choppy, so take a motion sickness pill if you're prone to sea sickness)

Don't miss the sunrise! - Great excursion! We went at 6:30 a.m., and watched the sun rise over Haleakala - so beautiful and peaceful early in the morning. It was great to be on a small boat, as we could move around and everyone had good views. Saw lots of babies and their mommas, and a male who was making a lot of racquet - we could even hear him without dropping a mic in the water. If you're staying in Kaanapali, this is super convenient as the dock is right behind the Lahaina Safeway. Highly recommend!

Family Whale Watching Trip - This was a great trip from the beginning. Captain Chrissy called 2 days before our trip to reschedule because of the storm coming into Maui - we got rescheduled for Saturday morning with no problems. Captain Emma and Jess were the best. We saw numerous whales and it was amazing. Highly recommend this company!!!

Fantastic crew and boat! - The crew was awesome. Friendly and informative. They were great ambassadors for Maui and the whales 🐋. Highly recommend. Great boat for all ages. During our 2 outings with them we saw how helpful they were with both young kids and elderly guests.

Amazing time and I highly recommend this one!! - We had an amazing time! Everyone on the boat was super nice. They gave us cool facts about the whales are were able to find tons of whales for us to see! The sunrise was gorgeous to see from the boat coming over the mountains. I highly recommend this experience and to use Maui Ocean Adventures to anyone who wants to do whale watching!

The best of the best! - The most comfortable whale watching boat we’ve ever been on! After 10+ years of experiences with multiple commercial whale watching tours on Maui, I can confidently say this was my favorite. The boat is spacious, comfortable and offers an up close and personal viewing experience with the whales without sacrificing comfort the way some other ‘smaller’ style boats do. Capt Chrissy was professional and knowledgeable and her first mate Sara was entertaining and full of whale facts too! Would highly recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to go again.

Fabulous! - We are Lahaina locals that try to get out a few times a year to see our whales. We typically go out with another boat company. But after hearing of the heroic things these girls did after the fire we decided to try them. They have a new boat that’s really comfortable. Emma the captain found whales almost immediately. Put us in the perfect positions to view them. Having a knowledgeable captain that knows the lighting and angles to see the whales without shooting pics into glare is huge. They have an elevated deck also which has a completely different angle that was really cool. Anyway I’m sold. Great trip. So many whales! Great service and a lot of knowledgeable on this boat. Mahalo ladies. Can’t wait to do it again!

Amazing Maui whale watch - This trip was amazing, the captain and crew knew what they were doing. Just a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family and friends. Definitely a fun boat to go on too I haven’t seen a hot pink boat yet and it is cool!
