Brilliant from start to finish... - So, King Surf were highly recommended to us from our campsite coffee van (The Life Nomadic), and, having paid for a private lesson for my two daughters, I can see why! From the initial telephone calls with Evie to ask questions and then to book my daughters on to the lesson with Pete (Stretch), the experience was positive, professional, safe, and friendly! As this was the first time surfing, I wanted my girls (24 + 16 years) to have a 1:1 lesson. It was money well spent. When we arrived, the girls were measured for wetsuits. There were changing rooms and also the public toilets nearby to use to change into them. Pete assessed what size/type of board would be best and then showed my girls the easiest way to carry them. When on rhe beach Pete went through the safety protocols, the correct terminology of a board and how to negotiate through the waves before talking the girls through the fundamental steps of standing up on the board. They practised the moves on the boards several times before heading into the water under Pete's watchful eye. During the session, both girls managed to catch a few waves. Pete never let them out of his sight and was right by them, in the water, giving them tips and advice on how to improve their technique. Pete was patient, encouraging, fun, and upbeat at all times. The two hours with him went so quickly. While my girls were in the water, a group booking with King Surf were also having their lesson in the water. Again, the ratios of students to staff were high, and every attention to safety was adhered to. The whole experience was a positive one and definitely worth the trip from our campsite in Perranporth. If you're looking for a Surf school that goes the extra mile; King Surf is definitely for you! We can't wait to book on for some more lessons next year! Thank you again, Pete, for a brilliant afternoon; my girls and I left exhilarated and content with what they had managed to achieve.

Great lesson, loads of progress. - We had a fabulous, fun time!! Lovely welcome from the staff, all very knowledgeable. Felt very safe in the sea, and made lots of progress due to the instruction. Will definitely book again.

Great fun - Recently had my first surfing lesson and attempt with Pete on a lovely gusting day at the ripe ole age of 60. Had a fantastic time and a great experience, the tide and weather probably not the best of times for your first ever go, but was limited due to the trip we had in Cornwall. None the less it was great and laughed so much it hurt, would definitely recommend trying this out no matter what your age or experience. Pete has a great attitude and his local knowledge fantastic. Hoping to go back again this year for another go……🏄🏻‍♂️

The quality of the coaching is second to none, but what really sets it apart is the energy and passion that all the instructors bring to the lessons, imparting their love and knowledge of surfing. We've been coming back here for a few years now, travelling long distances to enjoy what Kingsurf always delivers. Not just a great surf school, but an amazing experience.
