In less than sixty minutes from Placencia Village, our destination, Mayan King, awaits us. We have the pleasure of experiencing seven exhilarating zip lines and a few bridges, appreciating the stunning vistas from heights up to 400 feet above the tree canopy. The lengthiest line extends to 1300 feet. The lines intersect over the valley and river beneath. This adventure is accessible for all ages. Kids are invited but may need to do the zip line in tandem with another participant or guide.
Subsequently, we’ll embark on a brief hike to the river. Our river expedition lasts approximately 45 minutes, mainly on serene waters, with a few swift rapids to enhance the thrill. To ensure passenger safety, helmets and life vests are provided. The group will also be accompanied by two guides, one leading and the other trailing behind, to assist in navigating the waters.
Our final stop is a quick drive to a waterfall – immerse yourself in its unsullied charm and calming environment. If you seek thrill, a hike to the second waterfall is available, or you can unwind beside the pool (feel free to take a plunge if you’re game!).
