Visit Maputo with a living legend - Visiting Maputo/Mozambique with Sertorio was a great decision in our trip. I am not going to comment on the Maputo city itself as this is something you can find in other reviews or websites, but will focus on Sertorio. Sertorio's own story is completely integrated with Mozambique and South Africa recent histories, so spending the day with him was an incredible history class. Mozambique is a country that has just recently got independent (around the 70s). When the portuguese left, they took with them all the doctors, engineers and teachers with them so the country was left with nothing. To reconstruct the country, the local governement invited Sertorio to be an english teacher there. He went there and not only gave students classes, but was continuosly enhancing his craft by studying in the UK and US to bring the best stuff to this new African country. During his years in Mozambique, he also helped in the fight against the apartheid, so he not only made a difference in reconstructing Mozambique, but got to change South Africa's too! This is just a brief of everything you can learn with Sertorio... Strongly recommend visiting Maputo with him if you intend to visit Mozambique from South Africa.

Excellent Maputo Day Tour - I really enjoyed this Maputo Day tour from Nelspruit, South Africa. If you are staying in Nelspruit, South Africa you can visit Maputo, Mozambique without staying overnight in Maputo. The tour operator help me to cross the borded. He was my driver, tour guide and photographer. I was able to visit and explore all the tourist spots in Maputo in 1 day. I highly recommend this tour. You will saved a lot of money on this tour.

Wonderful private tour from Nelspruit to Maputo, Mozambique - Who knew a border hop could be this cool? Our private tour from Nelspruit to Maputo rocked! Sure, we had a minor immigration hiccup, but our guide pulled off some magic, and we were back on track in less than an hour. And guess what? We hit the road on election day, which meant traffic was practically nonexistent – lucky us! Shoutout to national holidays saving the day. Our guide was the real MVP, spilling the beans on his adventures in Mozambique and South Africa. As a bonus, our guide used to be a teacher in Maputo. We even got to check out the signboard which displays all languages of Mozambique in front of his former school. If you're up for a good time and some Mozambique vibes, this tour is ylfor you. Five stars all the way! Btw, we did day trips to Mozambique & Eswatini (Swaziland) day trips from Nelspruit, and a day trip to Lesotho from Durban. Consider these trips whenever you visit South Africa.

Maputo City Tour and the Macaneta Island. - Mr Sertorio, our tour guide was very professional and always punctual not forgetting knowledgeable. Upon arrival at Maputo International Airport we found him waiting for us to shuttle us to our hotel. The next day we had our tour of Maputo. He took us to most if not all the places of interest and his knowledge of the area was very impressive. Some of the tourist attractions included: The Botanical Gardens (with Samora Machel's Statue); the white church; the beautiful Maputo train station; the Markets; the Governor's House made from zinc which was shipped from Portugal as well as the murals depicting some of Samora Machel's famous quotations. We also went to the township and the entire experience was an eye opener. The day after we went to Macaneta Island where we spend the day. It was a day well spent - the island is really beautiful and the lunch was scrumptuous in particular the fish - my son still salivates when he talks about it. Although he couldn't shuttle us back to the airport on our departure as previously arranged, he made sure that he made proper arrangements with the hotel for shuttle services. It was an unforgettable holiday made it even better by Ntwanano Safaris.

Great trip to Maputo ! - We stayed in Nelspruit and saw the posibility of going on a daytrip to Maputo - a city we had never dreamed we'd visit... And it turned out to be a great tour ! Pick-up at our hotel was right on the agreed minute and after a first stop at the Matola museum we got to Maputo. Our guide knew a lot about the place and got us to the most interesting places. Really everything went smoothly ! Loved it, next time around we'll contact the company again for another tour they offer !
