River conditions can prohibit camping at times due to rains that increase flooding. camping will be canceled for your safety if occurs.You must provide your own tents. A portable camping potty is provided w/tent. May have to be shared with other campers. Non private shower water tank is available for public use. Spaces are by the Collins river and no lights or electricity is provided. Small fire pit fires are permitted and permission for a bonfire for groups can be arranged with advance notice. TWRA fishing licenses are required if fishing. Swimming is allowed. Grill is available. General store on top of the hill carries some refreshments and amenities campers may need. Insect repellant is advised and with NO LIFEGUARD on duty. All trash is to be picked up and site left as it was found. Persons exhibiting violence, unruly intoxication or property destruction will be required to leave with no refund issued. A 4x4 can get to and from river area easily, but other vehicles will need to park by the store uphill and MAD MUSKY staff will take you and your gear downhill to set up or break camp. Kayakers or people floating the river may be here daily to utilize the ramp, so seek out your own space. Limited availability could occur due to fluctuating water levels and prior tent bookings. The spaces are positioned by the Collins River, however no lighting or electrical outlets are provided. Small campfires are allowed and we can accommodate requests for larger bonfires for groups with prior notice. If you plan on fishing, please note that TWRA fishing licenses are needed. Swimming is permissible and complimentary tethered floats are available for usage. A grill is also provided for your convenience. There’s a convenience store at the top of the hill that sells a selection of snacks and camping necessities. We recommend bringing bug spray and as we don’t have a lifeguard on duty, please ensure young children are wearing life jackets when near or in the water. We kindly ask that you leave the site clean and as you found it. Individuals who act violently, become excessively intoxicated, or cause property damage will be asked to depart without a refund.
