Amazing experience - The whole experience was amazing. Kian and Dedi as guides were awesome helping with everything, explaining everything and spotting many different monkeys. We saw a few orangutans from so close, we also see some siamangs. Food was really good, local and tasty. I totally recommend the experience.

Don’t forget the Sumatra, Bukit Lawang jungle tour! - First of all, due to 3 hours flight delay, people from Monkey Business Tours needed to pick us up at 1.30h am. With arrival at 05.00h we were welcomed quite friendly by guest lady Geo. Our friendly and funny guide Nang Nang brought us into the jungle; a tour we will not forget the rest of our lives; it was exciting, interesting, sweaty and pretty exhausting too, but totally worth doing the 2 days tour with you overnight in a hut. The food during our tour was really good. The fruit super fresh, lunch good, Dinner was splendid with real good variety of tastes. All in all a real recommendation.

The jungle is the best. - We were very happy to see so many wildlife including orangutans. The Guide was very kind and gave me a detailed explanation of the jungle. It was exhausting to walk along the mountain path, but I really enjoyed it because of the careful support.

Jungle tour with tour Guide IAN - It was a wonderful memory. Along the way you can see a wide variety of creatures including monkeys, orangutans and turtles. You can also catch and actually eat fish in the river. Camping in the wilderness was one of my best memories. The second day rafting was one of the best memories of the tour. Our tour Guide IAN was also very courteous and kind, and even more entertaining at all times.

Challenging hike in a beautiful jungle with orangutan - Everything about the tour itself is 5-star. It’s a very challenging hike. Kian, my guide was very helpful. The food was plentiful, varied, and delicious. Camp was very rustic - as might be expected- but still comfortable. The jungle is beautiful! We saw many animals - various types of monkeys, water monitor, and orangutan. Kian took extra effort to find and identify the flora/fauna. The raft ride was fun! I’d say mostly class II with some class III. The vessel was inner tubes lashed together, but the guides were skilled pilots. We splashed a lot but didn’t come close to capsizing. I did have one issue. I purchased via Viator. Their site says “pickup can be arranged” and my hotel was listed. After I purchased, the details said “pickup included.” But when I arrived, they said there’s a 40 euro fee each way. We compromised - I only paid one way. They need to fix the Viator site. Still, a fantastic experience!

Welcome to the Jungle - It was an amazing time in the wild! Couldn't have been a better experience.. from trekking trails, watching wildlife, walking through the jungle waters and rafting the river to eating authentic indonesian food and jungle fruits on banana leafs and making new friends. All in two days. Nang Nang and Putra made sure we were safe all the way and they were always on the watch for animals to see and interesting jungle stories to tell. Best jungle experience ever.

2 days/1night - We stayed 2days/1night in Bukit Lawang and it was ok. We saw orangutans, but they were always the same. It felt like walking on the spot because you walk twice the same way back and forth. You pass the orangutan feeding point twice. You can find it on Google Maps and visit it yourself without spending money. It had relatively little of a real jungle trip because everything went very badly. Bukit Lawang is also surrounded by palm oil plantations. It had less to do with the real jungle. You only move about 5 km in two days and you basically walk in a circle. If you really want to experience something, you better go to Ketambe. We have heard many times that it is about really wild animals and the prices are much more reasonable. The guides and food were good. Accommodation in Bukit Lawang was also good.
