Incredible jungle experience - The jungle was incredible! We saw so many animals including orangutans, Thomas’s leaf monkey, crab-eating macaques, pig-tailed macaques, rhinoceros hornbill, lizards, birds and insects.
The guides were so knowledgeable, friendly and respectful of the animals and the visitors. They provided us with plenty of food and drinks, always making sure we had enough to eat.
Other guides would go ahead to the next camp and get everything ready - the toilets were clean (1 European at the 1st camp, then Asian squat toilets at camp 2 & 3) and the beds were made ready with mosquito nets.
In the evenings we played cards and got to know the guides and they told us about the jungle and Bukit Lawang.
The trekking is hard work, the terrain is very steep and difficult at times, especially in hot weather. I’d recommend making sure you’ve got a good level of fitness before doing the trek in the heat, especially if you aren’t used to high temperatures! We got heat stroke so were unwell for a day, but the guides were really helpful, taking us very slowly through the jungle the next day while we recovered, and offered to take us back to the village early if we wanted to. We decided to keep going through the jungle and we were glad we did! By the next day we felt better and were so glad to not miss out on the rafting back to the village - it was so fun!
Overall it was such an incredible experience, and although difficult at times (as you would expect!) it was so worth it to see so many incredible animals in the wild.

Perfect mix of nature discovery, trekking and jungle spirit - I did the 4 days 3 nights tour in the jungle. Everything was very efficiently organised for us. The guides ask you from the beginning which experience you want to have, more intense, more photos trip, more learning about the faune and flores...etc We did, with the 2 other guests, a mix of those
The guides are very friendly, competent, and want you to have the best experience. Thanks to Nannang who guided us in the unmapped jungle, explained us many things about what was around, special trees, animals etc.
We saw after 30 minutes already our first Orang Outans, we kept meeting them all along the trek !!
We had delicious fruit break on the way, decorated with taste by Eji, who made sure we were looking in the right direction, and helped us spot other Orang Outans!
The camp sites were in beautiful places, alongside rivers, waterfalls, and as always, amazing inside views from the jungle
The food was always good, fresh and more in quantity than enough. Thanks Putra for preparing those gourmet meals! And everything in the jungle, it s almost incredible how they achieve such a level of service and comfort! The rafting experience at the end is a nice fun part to finish the trek. Would recommend Monkey Business 3000% !

Best Jungle Trek in Asia by far - Perfect time in the jungle, we did the 5 days 4 nights.
We were a bit scared to not have enough food so we brought snacks but we had way too much food and also a lot of pause to snack on fruits so in the end we didn't eat those.
The rafting day was really nice and relaxing for the last day
Had the best time with the guide (Suria) !
(Pack up your brain, cause they know some magic tricks and they will challenge your quick thinking with some puzzles)
Even invited us to sleep in his home for an authentic local experience and we joined the wedding of his friend !

Wonderful jungle experience - Together with Ian and 3 other jungle boys we had a fantastic experience in Gunung Leuser National Park! The organization strongly advised us to do a 5 day in this jungle and they were not wrong! Our stay in the jungle was the max and especially SO restful. Hiking was tough but with enough rest and the good care of the guides it was all worth it. Highly recommended! We will never forget this! Thank you!
