Authentic Colombian experience - Juan and his family were extremely kind and attentive. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to escape the city and live an authentic Colombian experience.

Incredible tour, 5 stars - Amazing tour - and the best quality of the several tours I did in Colombia. Juan is an excellent communicator and everything was clear and well-organized before hand. The whole day was top notch and because of the small group size, you get lots of time with the horses and cows. There are also dogs, a cat and a hilarious talking parrot! Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients. The ride was stunning - one of the best trail rides of my life. You can tell the animals are very well taken care of. You will also learn a lot about Colombian culture. This tour costs a bit more than some of the others but I promise it’s worth it! Will be back on my next trip to Medellin :)

Incredible taste of Columbian/farm life! - This was such an incredible experience and one of my favorite experiences of our 2 week trip! Highly recommend if you want a taste of authentic home/farm life in Columbia.
Juan has created such a welcoming and warm environment in his family home in the hill tops around Medellin. He was so kind to pick us up from our accommodation in Medellin and drive us to the farm. He explained the history of his home and family and introduced us to Estela, who prepared incredible coffee and a huge delicious breakfast entirely sourced from the farm. All the animals were incredibly friendly and well trained and milking the cows and feeding the calves was so cool and something I’ve never gotten the chance to do before. The horses we rode were beautiful and the views on the horse ride were gorgeous as well. We even got the chance to trot and gallop on the horses, which was really fun. Juan took so many pictures and videos for the group which were great to have!
We did and learned a lot, but the whole experience was really well paced and we never felt rushed. It all felt like a breath of fresh air after 2 weeks of super crowded and touristy experiences. We felt so lucky and grateful to have this experience and can’t recommend it enough!

The BEST!! A day you’ll never forget. - Everything about this tour was Amazing! Juan and everyone at the ranch was very welcoming. We got coffee, homemade breakfast (I think was my best meal in Colombia), all different traditional drinks, and even a snack on our ride. Juan explained everything to us from any questions we had on the farm or while we went out riding. He is very fluent in English and makes you feel at home. The horse were healthy and well trained. I would recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors, horses (animals), and anyone that would like to get to experience traditional Colombian life. It gets 10 stars from me, it was the BEST!!

Best Part of my Vacation!!! - I would like to say alot of great things about the experience we had and how well we were welcomed and treated by Juan and Estela. Words can’t describe the perfect day we had at this Finca! You would need to experience this tour yourself to understand how wonderful traveling, meeting new people, learning the history and tasting new dishes could really be! Not only was this place clean on the inside but it was absolutely beautiful inside, outside and all around. The horses are so gentle and well nourished. Great horses and you could see how much they are cared for by Juan and everyone at the farm. Thank you Juan for such an amazing day and for welcoming us into this beautiful space. I came home and told everyone that this was the best past of my trip to Colombia! I would love to come back just to relive that day again!

This is where you want to be at!!! Monte&Panela Finca holds rich history and provides an amazing, safe experience! - When thinking about relaxation, reconnection with nature, or just getting out of your regular, technology-filled routine, this is a fantastic experience! Take it from me; all I do is work, go to school, and have to be in front of a computer all day.
Juan provided an unforgettable experience, including some of the best attention you'll get, hands down. From riding the horses, milking cows, taking the scenario in, and relaxing, you'll get it all here at the Finca with Juan. I was looking for an intimate experience that would really focus on relationship building and connection, and Juan excelled in that. He was open to discussing anything and invited our curiosity. I truly recommend this experience, and although it may be more expensive than other experiences, I can guarantee it won't be as intimate and healing as the experience you would get with Juan. I would also add that Juan made us feel very comfortable and safe as women, which is very important!!!!

A Slice of Colombian Paradise <3 - Wow, where do I even begin? Our day at Juan's family farm near Medellin was absolutely incredible - a solid 5 stars doesn't do it justice! Juan went above and beyond by arranging our pickup right from our hotel in Medellin. Our driver was a gem, super friendly and somehow managed to navigate the winding roads to the farm like a pro. The drive took about an hour, but honestly, I was so mesmerized by the stunning views that it felt like no time at all. When we arrived, Juan greeted us with the warmest welcome at his family's breathtaking estate. I mean, this place was straight out of a movie! We were immediately treated to the most amazing Colombian coffee (trust me, it'll ruin you for all other coffee) while Juan shared fascinating stories about his family and the history of their beautiful home. Before breakfast, we got to explore a bit and soak in the incredible panoramic views - I couldn't stop taking photos! Speaking of breakfast, oh my goodness. Their cook whipped up a feast using fresh ingredients right from the farm, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was Michelin-star level. The food, the company, the setting - it was all perfect. But the day was just getting started! We headed out to meet the farm's cows, and I have to give a special shout-out to Benji and Ninja - such characters! Getting to milk a mama cow was such a unique experience, and sipping a latte made with milk that fresh? Mind-blowing. We also got to bottle-feed some of the calves, which was heart-meltingly adorable. The grand finale was a horseback ride across the estate that I'll never forget. The views were absolutely breathtaking - I felt like I was in a National Geographic documentary. I can honestly say this was one of the most phenomenal travel experiences of my life. I'm already planning how I can visit Juan's farm again on my next trip to Colombia. If you're in Medellin and want an authentic, luxurious, and utterly unforgettable taste of Colombian countryside life, you absolutely MUST book this experience. Trust me, you won't regret it!

An amazing day on a 100-Year-Old family Finca Adventure with Juan Jose - We had the most incredible day on Saturday at a 100-year-old Finca Family Farm! 🌄
We dove into the farm's rich history, soaked in the serene beauty of the vast landscape, and took in some breathtaking views. After a delicious family-style breakfast prepared by Estelle, we learned how to milk a cow and even fed her calf with the fresh milk! 🐄
The horseback ride through the mountains was absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of Medellín and the farm. Our guide, Juan Jose, set up hammocks for us to relax in while we hand-fed carrots to our horses. After our ride, we enjoyed some tasty snacks and a sip of their famous anise-flavored Aguardiente. 🌿
We wrapped up the day lounging in hammocks under the patio, soaking in the views. Juan Jose made us feel like family—like we were home. Can’t wait to go back! 🐎💫

Incredible Colombian Tour: Horses, Traditional Breakfast, and Stunning Views! - Back in May, I was in Colombia and took a tour with horses 🐎. It was one of the most amazing tours I’ve ever experienced 🌟. I promised Mr. Jose that I would definitely return with friends and family, so I came back in August with my friends . Mr. Jose picked us up from our Airbnb 🏡 in the morning and drove us to his place 🚗. When we arrived, we were in awe of how beautiful his property was 🌳🌺.
He showed us his grandfather’s and mother’s places 🏠, and we even had the opportunity to milk a cow 🐄. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast 🍽️ and then went for a ride on his beautiful horses 🐎 around his large, scenic farm 🌾. When we returned, we were treated to coffee ☕ and fruit 🍇 from his garden 🌿. Afterward, Mr. Jose drove us back to our Airbnb 🏡.
I highly recommend this tour 👍. It was a memorable experience, and it’s definitely on my list of must-do activities whenever I’m in Medellín, Colombia 📍.
