A must do tour, but we’re comfortable shoes - I did not know what to expect but this was one of the most wonderful tours I’ve ever been on. Make sure you bring water and wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking. if you have any problems or problems with stairs, you can still do it, but it will take longer. I was the only one who signed up for this tour so it was like having a personal tour guide. you got a short but informative history of the family coffee, plantation and about coffee. They did not go on and on and. you could remember everything. They then took you to the fields and taught you how to pick coffee beans. That was fun, but it could be slippery if it rained the day before we went back to the home and we were shown the differences in the different beans and how they were processed. It was the perfect amount of time and you learned so much. I wound up buying a lot of coffee to bring back for friends and we will see what they do with the coffee at customs. I recommend this tour 100%.

A must have if you’re able! - Annie was a fantastic guide! We had such a wonderful time just be prepared to walk! It’s uphill, it’s steep and there are lots of stairs. The hospitality and kindness of the people who make the coffee is well worth it though!

Awesome experience. Learned and had fun learning! - Loved this tour! Educational and fun Expect some physical challenge as in climbing steps within the neighborhood before getting to the farm and going uphill. Anne (Emglish guide) gave us space and time to go at our own pace. She is very considerate. Anne, gave ud a great overview of the history of La Sierra as we walked to the farm, her English skills are fantastic. Rosa, the owner covered the whole coffee process (from farm to table) quite succinctly. There were more people involved and each contributed with their own skills - very organized. I highly recommend this tour. Part of their process serves their community.

Coffee route, a “must” for tourists - I highly recommend this experience. We were able to meet the faces of the city and learn more about the culture and activities of this city. The guide was very friendly, and the other people in charge of making this tour possible were also very nice. Don't miss it!

Fantastic coffee tour with beautiful experiences. - Caroluna has accompanied us in an infectious way on this coffee tour. The explanation of the family was well organized and beautiful to experience. Picking coffee in the plantation is also interesting to experience. Highly recommended this tour. Also because of its location high in the mountains of Medellin at about 1900 meters.

Unmissable and inspiring tour, with amazing coffee - Honestly a trip highlight. I would recommend this to everyone. Firstly, the instructions made it so easy to find our guide Emily who was super friendly, knowledgeable and guided a group of two languages with ease. We boarded the tram and then the cable car learning as we went, it was a promising start. Emily shared great knowledge of the neighbourhood and how the coffee farm is helping to rejuvenate it. After a steep climb and a lot of steps (worth it in the end) we reached the farm. Rosa led a talk about the origins of their farm and the community of La Sierra and we had a delicious cup of coffee. Then we grabbed our traditional outfits and headed to the plants. Everything was thought of including a natural bug repellent! We were taught about the growing process and then had a chance to pick coffee cherries and get amongst the plants before heading back and learning how it would be processed from cherry right through to roasted and ground. Then we got another cup, brewed right in front of us, with Rosa explaining the best ratios and taking such care. This cup accompanied a lovely pastry, a welcome treat after walking and picking! I bought 2 bags to take home because it was so delicious! The tour was so informative and made even better by the fact that it was contributing positively to the community. One of the best things I did in Colombia, thank you so much for having us!
