Don't think, just book it. Incredible. - The guide was incredible (Julio/Julien), he knew every single person in the neighborhood having being born and raised there - everyone stopped to greet him. He spoke excellent English and knew everything about the area and every single establishment and store, went into detail about every piece of art we saw and every bite of food we ate. The food was great and authentic, the breakdancing group was so much fun and even the cofee and ice-cream were awsome. Just an authentic experience that I recommend everyone take the time to do in Medellín.

The Tour of Communa 13 was one of the highlights of my trip I truly loved it. Alex gave us incredible information about the area, the transformation it has undergone, and the history it had. We had some small snacks and walked through the bustling streets of Communa 13.

So so street food and fun performances - Most of the time on this tour was spent watching two performances by local dancers and rappers and going to two places for street food. Our guide Carilyn did an ok job but could have provided a lot more history and information about the neighborhood. I felt she only scratched the surface. The street food was not at all healthy (fried empanada and sausage) so I passed on most of it. Although the street food tasting was included in the price, the drinks were not and I felt that going to 3 establishments was more to provide income to the places. We were grouped with other tour groups to watch two street performances (again bring some extra money as tipping is strongly encouraged). Although the neighborhood is interesting to learn about, unfortunately is has become packed with hundreds of tourists on many groups which comes along with hundreds of vendors selling similar items (hats, etc).
