AMAZING!!! - This has been my favorite tour in Medellín thus far. Julio was my guide and he had amazing story telling and took us all around some really dope spots with great opportunities for photos. also the food was very good. Leaning about what the government did to Comuna 13 was very eye opening and sad, but a story that needed to be told. 10/10 would recommend. Especially if Julio is your guide.

Super guide — - Our guide was terrific and knew the neighborhood well. I would make one small suggestion: less time at bars with blaring music and advise folks to bring ear plugs if they have hearing issues and need to protect their hearing.

Must do activity in Medellin - This tour or a tour of communa 13 is a must do activity in Medellin. There is a lot of dark history to learn but also see the power of arts and its ability to lead transformation of a society in a relatively short period of time. Our tour guide was Julio and he was exceptional. He kept the commentary raw and shared real experiences that he and his family have endured. From a practical perspective, the tour was well planned with plenty of breaks and included food (empanadas, coffee, drink and ice cream) was awesome too.

One of My Top 3 Tours in the World - Yet - This tour was absolutely amazing, especially for $22USD! Everyone said be careful about Comuna 13; I’ve never felt safer, even doing the night tour that started at 4:30 p.m. Andres led our tour in English, this guy was amazing! Tons of passion for his country and neighborhood, and shared incredible, in-depth facts and history without being boring! He’s also a great DJ, as we found out at Mirador Bar. The snack along the way - onion and cheese empanad (2), mini beef sausage, fried plantain with tomato aioli, frozen mango (pineapple?) cup - were very welcome. It is a lot of uphill walking, so come prepared. You definitely won’t regret doing this tour; actually, it’s a must-do! Recommendation: while I enjoyed the night tour because you see everything lit up (and I’d do it again at night), I would recommend doing it during the day to see more of the graffiti and murals. Also appreciated: Alex remembered my name an hour later from check in. And he wasn’t even leading our tour!
